"Firstly, I would recommend staying down in the town and using shuttle up to the castle. Plenty of more options for dining in the town. Upon approach to the guest house expect to be approached by old ladies aggressively yelling and you and smacking the side of your car apparently in an attempt to get you to pay to park in their car park. Even when pulling OUT of the guest houses parking these women still aggressively hit my car. Parking is down a STEEP driveway with an uneven surface and just a bit tricky. As such, if you need parking, just stay in town at a hotel with more parking. Room was ok. Floor was dirty. No soap in the wash room."

"We stayed one night at the beautiful Hotel Colombo. Our room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good and all the staff were friendly and efficient. We would have loved to stay longer, but we hope to go back in the future."

"The hotel is beautiful, walls of river stones and beautiful paintings, and everything was very clean! Breakfast was also very good. It’s very easy to get a taxi due to the staff being the taxi which is great! I enjoyed my stay here and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berat!"

"A great hotel with a fantastic central location that is still wonderfully quiet. The staff were exceptionally helpful and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. "We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Berat. The location is excellent, making it very easy to explore the city and reach the main sights, restaurants, and cafés on foot. The hotel is new, modern, and exceptionally clean. Our room was comfortable, fresh, and very well maintained, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. You can really tell that attention has been paid to the details."

"If I could leave an 11 star review I would. Berat is an Albanian gem and this property and its warm and friendly owner are perfect. Our room was absolutely stunning and well presented. We had a nice chat with the owner over a glass of home made Raki and wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful stay"
