Quality Inn Mt. Pleasant

6/10 Okay

"It wasn't terrible but I couldn't spent 20 bucks more a night and been much happier. I stayed in a plane less than a half mile away about 4 months ago and it was much, much better. It was 20 more a night this time. This plane was quiet but it wasn't that clean ands it left much to be desired. I'll leave it there. I don't know that there is any reason to say what could have been better i am sure the owners and the staff know. It's just a matter of what they are trying to accomplish. It was a decent bed and plane to sleep but that pretty much wraps out up."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sulphur Springs

"Kenny, the General Manager, there is a problem when your staff refuse to provide your name and you don’t have business cards available to give people a chance to contact you. When you choose to “hide,” it isnt good service and you know it. Last night upon our arrival, I went down to get some non-down pillows since my wife is highly allergic. I asked the lady to switch out. She stated don’t have any but we knew that wasn’t true as there was already one in our room. I explained again why I was requesting non-down. She stated “her manager” stated she cannot go to other rooms to find some. I was very surprised at her unwillingness. She called her manager and then returned stating, “my manager said we don’t advertise non-down, so I cannot help you. Really? This wasn’t about what is advertised. This is about the need of the customer! I told her that I would like to speak to her manager. She stated he is not here. I told her I knew that but she could call him. She stated she was not going to di that. Again, shocked at the response. I asked her for her Manager’s name and she stated she could not give me that information. She isn’t allowed to give the Manager’s name? Really? So, Kenny, I hope this doesn’t seem right to you. If it does, what a shame and disservice to the training this young lady is receiving under your watch. My complaint was filed with Wyndham. I will never again stay at your motel while driving thru. You have lost our business."

"The floor was filthy and sticky on arrival. It was bad enough that we could not walk around the room unless we had our shoes on because it would get our socks or feet so dirty. The shower had decent pressure but when switching from the tub to the shower it wouldn't switch entirely and appeared the tub faucet was going to shoot from the wall. The toilet paper holder was litterslly falling out of the wall. The walls themselves were patchy and covered in drywall patches that were left unpainted There was no room to room wifi avaliable as stated in the listing for the hotel. The beds had a dusty smell to them. Each bed had 3 pillows but they somehow folded the pillows in on themselves with the pillow cases making them little cubes which made using them very uncomfortable. We saw bugs occasionally throughout our stay but that can be chalked up to the time of year and the area we were in. Over the 3 days we stayed there we debated on getting a different hotel multiple times."
