It would be a little cramped if more than six people were staying and they had to stay inside for any length of time. The downstairs sleeping area is somewhat barren. "The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake."

"It's an old shop so it's a bit worn, but it has more than everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good fireplace and lots of firewood, books, magazines, games. Breakfast provisions laid on which was unexpected but very convenient. Good shower. Less than a 1 minute walk to the pub for meals."
