Zion's Cable Mountain Trail Head Cabin sleeps 6 boarders East Zion National Park

Located 100 yds from stunning Cable Mountain, Echo Canyon, Deer Trap and East Rim trail head, you can walk into Zion National Park w/out the crowds. Or if you just want some R&R, our cabin is perfect for that too. Picture this... a 750 sq foot cabin with open space living room kitchen and a loft that sleeps 6 in bunk beds. Just outside you have more outdoor living. A large deck with gas fire pit to sit under the stars and enjoy roasting by the fire. Entertaining guests or family is perfect in the 12 X 12 Solarium with seating for 6. Or hang out under the pavilion with a large bar/table with six bar stools. So many places to enjoy the great outdoors without any contact within 1.5 acres. If you need more excitement just up the road 1.8 miles is Zion Ponderosa Resort so take advantage of all the amenities. So much to do so little time!

With 4 million visitors a year, Zion's National Park is busy! Limited parking and crowded shuttles make it difficult to get around. Our space is extremely unique. The cabin is directly on the boarder of the Park. You can literally walk in 100 yrds and you are in the Park. This eliminates driving, parking and crowded shuttles. Get away from all the hustle and bustle of the Park. "Take the path less traveled by and that will make all the difference."

You will have complete access to the entire cabin and outdoor living patio, solarium, and pavilion. Kitchen is fully equip with refrigerator, gas stove top, microwave, pots, pans, plates, cups, and utensils. Outdoor BBQ grill and gas fire pit is also provided.

Beds have fresh linens, blankets, and pillows. The cabin accommodates up to 6 people.

Being located 7 miles from the East Entrance of Zion National Park and 100 yrds from 4 major trailheads, we are pretty remote. Please plan ahead. The nearest grocery store is 28 miles to Orderville and 44 miles to Springdale. Bring your own food and personal items.

Looking to relax at the pool, soak in the hot tub or need to wash clothes, up the road 1.8 miles is Zion Ponderosa Ranch. They have it all. Just check at the front desk for pricing on swimming, showers, washer & dryers, or activities available for children of all ages. Activities like mini golf, swimming, tennis, horse back riding, zip line to name a few. Or rent an ATV and explore the many trails around the ranch. There is something for everyone.

During wet times of the year like Spring or Fall, we do recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle if the forecast shows rain or snow. There are paved roads all the way to Zion Ponderosa Ranch, but the 1.8 miles to our cabin is on a dirt road. It can get really muddy, so 4 wheel drive is highly recommended.

Zion Ponderosa’s 4,000-acre ranch resort literally borders the east boundary of Zion National Park. By road, we are seven miles from the eastern entrance of the park. At 6,500 feet, we have cooler temperatures in the summer months, and some snow in winter.

Zion National Park is part of the “Grand Circle” of national parks, monuments, historic sites and recreation areas, featuring America’s highest concentration of natural scenic wonders. With so much to see and do, you’ll quickly realize that you’ll need at least a week to begin to experience the splendor of this region.

It goes without saying that when you’re on the eastern edge of Zion, you’re here to visit Zion National Park. Whether you are strolling the Riverside Walk to the mouth of the Zion Narrows, tackling the challenging Angels Landing trail, or hiking across Zion Ponderosa to Observation Point, Zion National Park is brimming with outdoor adventures and scenic wonders. The east entrance is just minutes from Zion Ponderosa.

No matter where you’re coming from, Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort is central to many attractions including numerous national and state parks and monuments. It’s a great place to stay as a base camp while exploring these areas.

Exceeded expectations!
This cabin far exceeded our expectations! The location was amazing, we hiked observation point just 10 minutes away. DeAnn was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of hot water for showers after our hikes. I loved sitting outside and just enjoying the peace and quiet. I didn't want to leave! We will for sure come back here if we're in the area again!

Beautiful setting
Loved the area and listing. Didn’t take advantage of the Ponderosa activities because we packed in as much sightseeing as we could. My only complaint was the hot water in the shower. “Shower works best on hot” was accurate, but then went to freezing within less than a few minutes. Definitely practiced conservation of water resources while we stayed. Beds were super comfy.

Cozy and Remote
Unique space with great grill outside, privacy and coziness. Definitely away from the crowds with stars and coyote barks at night. DeAnn was very responsive with questions/concerns. A little challenging to get to (I recommend daylight arrival. Hint: an easy way to navigate once into Ponderosa Ranch is to take a left when told and veer away from Private Rd signs until the last Private Rd up the hill to the right where the property is located. Large crater in road on the downhill close to the property--stay left. Close proximity to East Mesa Trailhead and we recommend the Observation Point hike--worth it at sunset! Be aware that the sleeping qtrs are in the loft with the bathroom downstairs with a ladder/stairs to the top. Enjoy!
