"The dirt road in is probably the roughest/bumpiest drive I’ve had on nz dirt roads. The location is remote and peaceful. Views are scenic and the history of the river and its ‘tide’ was interesting. Rock stacking, I've seen them in various places around the world in my travels - at beaches, mountain tops, national park hikes. This is perhaps the one place where I have witnessed them singularly in a large group as far as my eyes could see. Why do people do it? Is it a hobby, a discipline, a form of faith? I'm not sure of the answer but the most responsible thing I do when I see one is not disturb them :) #TroverRT
