"Great view from the lounge window featuring a fantastic kinetic sculpture. Gracious, friendly host met us when we pulled up and made us feel very welcome. Everything we needed was available. Stayed just one night, but would definitely return."

"Online listing does not explain clearly the ‘off grid’ nature of the property (limited power & hot water) and does not include details about the 300m walk (incl a skinny sway bridge crossing) to get from where you park your car to the property, nor was this communicated to us as part of the special instructions you normally receive days before your arrival. No contact was made until a few hours prior and no information was provided at that time, only on arrival were we told that we needed a 4WD to get to the cottage, so our luggage was transported by the host while we walked. Had we known and been prepared (incl packing differently), we would have enjoyed it, rather than being surprised and frustrated. The cottage itself was lovely and once we settled in, it was enjoyable, just not what we were expecting."

"We had a lovely stay at Pohutukawa Farm. Pet friendly, though not fully enclosed but our wee dog loved it. Beautiful views, comfortable bedding, good kitchen facilities. Loved the outdoor bath under the stars. Would love to come back again. "
