"The house was comfortable and the fact the owners live next door makes it easy to sort out any problems that do occur. It is in a rather remote location so it is very peaceful but going anywhere requires a car trip. If you are tall (I am 1.90m) you have to be careful of the low doorways on which I banged my head several times. "We booked the cottage for a week's stay whike work was being done on our home. It was a real home from home too. Everything's there, including electric blankets to warm the beds. Although thd heating kept the cottage toasty, we turned most off except living room and bathroom. Loved the log burner too, a real focal point. Internet provided was good, a bonus as the phone signal there is poor, as is most of the local area due to hills etc. Would certainly recommend."

"Where to begin, think I may run out of superlatives! Our Sheldon Cottage was the most wonderful place to spend 4 days. The view alone was priceless. Steve and Hazel have designed the cottage to the highest possible standard and it has everything one could possibly need. It is wonderfully equipped for anyone with a disability, a wheelchair can easily whizz around all the accommodation. We loved the wonderful notices in the cottage, all suggestions rather than orders, all so gentle. Very luxurious...

"Bright modern conversion of stone cottage with all the facilities one could want. Sparkling clean and an excellent 'goodies' pack.Good restaurants within 20 minute drive and an very good pub a short walk away in the village. Most of the Peak District attractions and walks within a 35 minute drive. Could not fault the property or its location."
