"Victoria is kind and helpful and the property is a beautiful rambling half hostel but with beautifully appointed rooms and upholstered walls and a treasure of things to look at in common areas. Beautiful old buildings and grounds. Our shower ran cold to cool and was confusing to control, but it was hot and we didn’t ask about it so can’t complain too much there. Pool was also lovely and clean."

"The property was tranquil and located within easy driving distance of the historic Cuenca district. The room was rather stark with a television that glitched quite a bit but we were not into the room that much. Despite the uninspiring interior decor of the room, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. "The Posada de San José is deep into Old Town, quite remote, but reachable from the train station via the L10/L1 bus lines. Pack snacks if you get hungry between 4 and 8; there's no nearby McDonald's. When it opens, the on-site restaurant has great food; you shouldn't miss out. The place is very rustic and has great canyon views. Some head ducking might be required on the premises and in your room. The bathroom is old, but functional. Showering (fully curtained) is possible without making a EU puddle on the floor. The bed was quite comfortable."

"This place is absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were completely in love with it. It is beautiful, charming, spacious, spotless, and full of character. The architecture and decoration are stunning—you can truly feel the care and thought that went into every detail. It is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The location could not be better. It is literally a 2-minute walk from the cathedral and within walking distance of everything. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay. And then there is Ana… ❤️ She deserves a review of her own. She is one of those rare people who makes you feel genuinely cared for and welcomed. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, attentive, and warm, and she went above and beyond to make our stay special. Of course, hosting is a business, and at the end of the day, that is how most people see it. But with Ana, you can truly feel that it goes beyond business. She genuinely cares about her guests, about making them comfortable, happy, and at home. She made us feel welcomed, embraced, and truly looked after. Her kindness made an already wonderful stay even more memorable. Everything in the house reflects the same level of care and quality. The beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and the towels and other amenities are excellent quality. Every detail feels intentional. We absolutely loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. If you are considering staying here, book it—you will not regret it!"
