"Lovely old house with some charming foibles and eccentricities. Even developed a soft spot for the robot lawn mower. Great space, 4 bathrooms (2 ensuite), well equipped kitchen (always great to have basics there - salt, oil, herbs etc), great table tennis room, big garden to kick rugby ball. Outdoor bbq plate. "The place was ideal for us. It had the most amazing outdoor areas where we could dine and gather to relax. Temperatures reached 38 degrees and the pool area and decking had plenty of shade and beautiful views looking over the river in the distance. There were two BBQ areas and the kitchen had everything you needed. You could walk to the town where there were a number of restaurants and a short drive across the river to a local supermarket. Highly recommend."

"Lovely location and spacious living. Only downside is the number of steps especially between rooms. Not for anyone who has problems with stairs. Otherwise, a well equipped kitchen with good sized fridge & freezer. Our hostess even went out and bought some champagne flutes because I said I enjoyed sparkling wine."

"The property is set in a lovely hamlet where you can leave the doors and windows open all night with no worries. Both pools are excellent and regularly maintained by the host. There is everything you need provided in the well appointed kitchen. Yann is friendly and on hand to help when/if needed. I would thoroughly recommend if you want a relaxing time."

"This is a well equipped new house with en-suite bath/shower rooms to every bedroom. The area is quite beautiful and we enjoyed trips into Bessines-sur-Gartempe, and all the lovely lakes around. We were seven of us for most of the time and there was plenty of room and facilities for us. Although we were happy here and had a wonderful time there were a couple of gripes. We did not find the spiral staircase that easy for access to the upstairs and particularly to take our luggage up and down. The...
