"The top three reasons I booked this hotel.. location, elevator from underground parking, and ocean view. The photo on Expedia shows a beautiful view of the bay and Moro Rock. But our room had a huge tree completely blocking the view of the Rock and most of the Bay. Very disappointing. The AC was slow to cool the room, the beds were not that comfortable, the fixtures and furnishings outdated, walking barefoot on the floor was weird as there's zero padding under the old carpeting. They had a flashlight in the closet area and I needed to use it one night but the on-off button was broken. The room had an overhead fan but the remote control to turn it on off didn't work. I was somewhat pleased to see they had decaf coffee in the room but, when I opened the coffee packet the product was so old it didn't even smell like coffee . This was just not a good value for the money spent. I would not stay in this hotel again probably not even if the price was lower."

"Great location! Across the street from Dorn’s, our dinner destination and a quick walk down the stairs to shopping and the waterfront. We were so pleased with the cleanliness and appointment of the room. It appeared recently upgraded, new furniture, great view of Morro Rock from our second floor room. "
