"Wonderful all around! Very well maintained, close to everything, comfortable bed, and wonderful breakfast. Will definitely stay here again when we’re back in Detroit!"

"Amazing stay! Super clean and stunning building. I agree with some, wish we had an extra towel. No biggy! It was still amazing!"

"Very warm welcome, the room was really nice and the bed was comfortable enough to sleep in. Would certainly return."

""This is the second time I've booked a standard room through Expedia, only to be checked into an accessible (ADA) room upon arrival. I’m concerned this might be standard practice for third-party bookings, which shouldn't be the case—especially when a standard room was explicitly requested"

"We stayed over night to attend a concert. At first glance the room looked very nice. However, with a closer look. We found a dirty wash cloth in the shower. We always look under our bed before we check out. To see if we are forgetting anything. There were liquor bottles under our bed with two balloons. One was of male genital.!!!! We did not appreciate that at all!!!! The tile was cracked by the jacuzzi and the were rust stains. There plumbing access panel would not shut nor the other access...

"Had a great stay at the David Whitney Hotel! Beautiful historic building, great atmosphere, friendly service, and a perfect downtown location. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel has a great aesthetic, but everything was smaller than anticipated (Candy Bar, Lobby, etc.). During our stay, we had an issue with getting into our room. The Key Card Reader died, so we were unable to get into our room until maintenance fixed it. We were trying to stop into our room to grab a few things before heading to a concert. Unfortunately, the issue with the Key Card Reader delayed our plans."

"The room was in poor condition with very aged wall coverings and carpeting, wall patches that weren’t completed, awkward shaped room and did not feel clean. Idk if it was a sub-par room because booked thru Expedia or standard."

"This is a nice quaint hotel. Like stepping back in time. Very homey. Great location!! Can walk to arenas, stadiums, and restaurants. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Contininental breakfast is good and coffee is excellent Be aware hotel parking is not afilliated with the hotel and is also used for event parking and you must prepay online when you get there and lot is not monitored all the time. Still Highly recommend this hotel."

"I wouldn’t know what the property was like because when we tried to check in they were oversold and didn’t have a room for us. They did however book us another property"

"2nd.stay here. Perfect location. Are seems cleaner and less grimy than 2 years ago. Unit was as described with few small issues. Torn curtains. Broken handle in shower and missing batteries in remote. Floor was pretty quiet. Great view and very comfy beds."

"Everything was great. I can’t wait to book again."
