The ruins of Donzy are nice to visit, and the hilly region is beautiful to walk through. Otherwise there is little to do for tourists in Panissières itself, it's just a regular French village. Luckily there are large cities (Lyon and Saint-Etienne) within a one hour drive. The same goes for the Beaujolais wine...

"Nous avons passé un super week-end entre amis, dans cette Maison très agréable et bien agencée. Les jeunes au rez-de-chaussée (3 chambres différentes et une belle salle de bain) et les parents à l'étage (chambres et salle de bain également).Nous avons bien profité du magnifique jardin, avec la piscine et la vue sur la région lyonnaise et la chaine des alpes!Nous recommandons ce logement."

The bathrooms really need work. We had constant issues with the valves in the bathrooms. There are not enough electrical outlets and there is poor storage. "Nous avons apprécié la maison, moderne, bien équipée, entourée d'un vaste terrain permettant de s'isoler pour lire. Il est possible d'y séjourner avec une grande famille tout en conservant une intimité. "This ticked all the boxes for what we wanted: big garden, private pool, lots of space and near Lyon Old Town. But the property is much more tired than the photos give away, and I don't recall the listing saying that the garden backed onto a busy main road so the garden and pool were not nearly as tranquil as we were hoping."

"Une séjour parfait et correspondant à nos besoins. Juste 2 points à noter et qui expliquent les 4 étoiles au lieu des 5. Heure d'arrivée tardive et surtout peu flexible. Ménage très approximatif à notre arrivée. Énormément de poussière et différents objets (chaises etc) plutôt peu propre. En dehors de cela tout était parfait. Je recommande"
