"This hotel has a good seafood buffet breakfast as well as a free sight seeing bus. If you’d like to go the night viewing of Mt. Hakodate on the free bus, you need to reserve for the weekends, well in advance. We went for the sunset viewing only on the free bus. Very friendly and staff. The coin laundry was easy to use and cashless. There is also a very convenient grocery store behind the hotel and a few minutes from the Hakodate train station. "

"JR Inn Hakodate was super convenient and, other than it being on the small size, was a great place to stay. They have a pillow bar downstairs where you can pick your own pillows! Super-convenient train access, within walking distance of many restaurants, Izakaya’s, markets, views, and the ropeway."

"Loved this hotel! Staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast is amazing - incredible seafood and other options - probably the best hotel breakfast we’ve had! The hot spring spa on the top floor offers a great view along with a clean and comfortable experience. Some of the tile is getting a little dated, but overall it’s great. We wish we had a Japanese style room, but there weren’t many listed on the Hotels.com website. The location is convenient to shops and restaurants, and it would be even better if there was a hotel van to go to and from the train station. "
