Welcome to Lake Blue Ridge!
The perfect combination of mountain and lake front experience awaits you in this beautiful setting in Morganton, Georgia. The lake has 100 miles of shoreline, with 80% of it being U.S. Forest Service land. Relax in a beautifully maintained log home with five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, located on the YEAR ROUND DEEP WATER of Lake Blue Ridge. Unwind as you gaze out the picture windows at the pristine blue waters and U.S. forest on the opposite shore, picture-perfect every season of the year! With accommodations for up to 15 guests, this is a choice destination for small or large groups of family and friends. A large two story dock with swim platform provides ample space for spending the day on the water. Bring the boat and tie up on the dock during your stay. Check out local boat ramps or rent one at the local marina. The cabin has ample parking, easily accommodating up to six (6) vehicles with two (2) under carport. There are three (3) levels in the cabin, each with a bathroom. The main level includes the kitchen, dining room, living room with wood burning fireplace, and two (2) bedrooms with queen beds. The upper level has a master bedroom with king bed and en suite, as well as a loft area with pullout sofa (full size bed). The lower level has a huge family room and two (2) bedrooms, one with queen bed and twin trundle, the other with a twin bunk beds and twin trundle. The sofa bed in the family room has a queen mattress. Wake up feeling refreshed and renewed on our new mattresses in each room. This home is Internet ready with Wifi available to guests.
Walk out either the main or lower level to decking, then meander to the outside fireplace which is perfect for S'mores or snuggling up with a loved one.
Bring your family dog along for the adventure! Up to two (2) dogs allowed with additional $113 non-refundable pet deposit.

Please Note:

- This isn't a party cabin. We have strict policies implemented in our rental agreement about quiet time, and things not to do to disturb or offend neighbors, residence.

- Rental agreement will need to be reviewed and signed within 24 hours of booking.

- Nightly rates are for up to six (6) guest; additional guest are $25.00 per night, per guest.

- Outside cameras are on the property for security reasons and if needed to enforce agreed upon rental agreement items.

We had a great time. The property matched the online photos and description perfectly. We really enjoyed the stay and the people in the surrounding communities. It was a short drive to lots on fun things to do. The lake was absolutely amazing. The cove made it calm and great to kayak and paddle board in.

Great holiday rental!

Blue Bear Cabin is a great property. Cabin seems new and well appointed - very clean and comfortable. Beautiful spot on the lake where its not to busy, but not to remote. Highly recommend!

Relaxing and just right

Our family stayed for the week. It was quiet and we enjoyed the kayaks, ping pong table and the fact that everything was provided. Our dog enjoyed her stay too. Would love to come back, so much house for a family to enjoy.

Short weekend get away

We really enjoyed our time here this weekend. It was a last minute decision to get away with our family and I wish we could’ve stayed longer! The house was perfect and our kids had a blast on the lake! Can’t wait to hopefully come back soon!

Great place for a weekend get away

Lake Blue Ridge was a great place for a weekend trip in the fall. Enjoyed outdoor fireplace on crispy nights. Lake was down quite a bit, but not much we can do about that.

Made Memories on the Lake

We all enjoyed ourselves at Blue Bear's Cabin! The house and property are beautiful, and the owner was responsive to all questions. The kids loved jumping off the dock into the lake! Highly recommend this cabin. There was plenty of room for our party of six adults and three kids!

Quick getaway

We wanted a last minute, family trip and Lake Blue Ridge proved to be the perfect spot! Even in the winter, it is beautiful and so restful. The house was perfect for teens to have a spot to hangout and for families to gather by the fire for game night. Hiking trails are close by and for the forgotten items, Food Lion is a quick 15 minute drive. Being so close to Atlanta is an added bonus! We would love to go back!

Paradise

This house was great for our 3 generation family trip. Having bedrooms & bathrooms on all 3 levels is very convenient. We got groceries from the Food Lion (15-20 min drive) on day 1, and were able to cook all meals with the cookware provided. Communication with Property Owner was prompt, check-in and out was a breeze, and the cabin was clean. We took a day trip to Amicalola Falls, and spent the rest of our days enjoying the lake, swimming, fishing, and kayaking... it truly was a great experience.

70th Birthday Celebration

My family, siblings and spouses and one son and spouse joined us for a ten day getaway at the cabin on Blue Ridge Lake. The cabin was nicely decorated, and well appointed. There were plenty of towels and the kitchen was well equipped. We all like to cook and it was very comfortable to do so. It rained nonstop for the first two days that we were there but the windows were so big that we didn’t mind being inside, we played games and made puzzles together., and of course cooked! The rest of the trip was excellent weather, we hiked 25 miles of the Appalachian trail and visited several waterfalls. Because of COVID we did not go to many of the little towns in the area, we did spend a little time in Ellijay antiquing. All in all a great trip, we all said we would do this trip again.

Not great, not terrible

The main things that we were not happy about: 1.) Was not clean, floor was dirty, counters and table top was dirty, someone’s Qtips and soap wrapper was in the up stairs bathroom, there were spider webs everywhere. Tons outside, several inside. 2.) Dryer did not work. Very disappointing. Luckily we were only there for 3 full days. 3.) The TV downstairs did not work. We even bought batteries for the remote thinking that may be the problem but nope. And it was college football opening weekend. 4.) The paper towels that were there when we got there were almost gone. Seems petty but every place we have ever stayed had a full roll of paper towels when we arrived. 5.) No outdoor furniture was out on any of the outdoor decks/entertaining areas. In my opinion it should be out, we should not have to get it out. 6.) Decor (furniture, appliances, Knick knacks all was very out dated. The petty things probably would have been overlooked if not for the pretty major things. Things we were happy about: 1.) the location. 2.) the cabin was beautiful built. 3.) the location 4.) the number of rooms. 5.) the location.

Nice area/Dry lake

Unfortunately the lake was extremely low during Thanksgiving week and the next door neighbors were having a dock built during our stay. Track hoe and construction noise/visuals of what little water remained in the lake. The house was comfortable and the kitchen well organized. Washing machine takes forever to fill up. Living room fireplace smokes bad without proper ventilation. Outdoor fireplace was nice. Plenty of well lighted parking. Downstairs playroom worked well for the kids. I'd give our stay a solid four stars.

Family vacation

This property was wonderful! Right on lake. So nice to have our boat in a nice deep water dock in front of house. The host was very responsive. We had oven problems but host ordered new appliance. Plus the grill was nice. Quiet. Town of Blue Ridge was fun to explore and shop. Good restaurants. Tubing close by was fun. Living Waters winery most lovely setting and good wine and wine cocktails, plus Cajun food truck.
