"This is a great hotel for a few nights' stay for a traveller. It's literally next door to the Grosseto train station and just a few blocks' walk to the walled center city. It is lovely, has great, helpful staff, is clean, quiet and secure - with a 24-hour desk person who keeps the room keys while you're out. Breakfast buffet is extensive and high quality -- worth the price. Overall, great value!"

"Good location, close to the town and beaches. Cleaning wise was good but lacking customer service. If you are not italian they won’t even try to welcome you or offer information if you need it. Breakfast is very limited and repetitive , not much choice. Same pastries, cakes, fruits every day. I would stay maximum 2 days to enjoy the swimming pool but 1 week was way too long at this hotel."

"Nice lodge (superior), air con was nice. Beds basic but fine, shower ok. Beach sunbeds were expensive (£260 for 4 sunbeds for 6 days) but nice enough beach and had to go there because the pool has some crazy ridiculous rule about wearing a silly rubber hat in the pool when it’s 33 degrees. They are not worried about all the children weeing in the pool but if a hair were to fall out! It’s obviously a ploy to divert people away from the pool area and onto the beach which you have to pay for so that is annoying, but all in all a nice basic campsite with ‘ok’ lodges. It is in the middle of nowhere though so once your in, your in! "

The outstandingly helpful staff was gracious and gave me excellent assistance as a solo traveler. As I did not have a car, I needed to secure drivers from the train station pick up and to visit Cascate del Murino. "What can we say??? Grazie Grazie Grazie! What an amazing week! Camilla went over the top in communication and even helped us arrange a special birthday dinner for my husband with a local cook at the villa ! The pool was fabulous and the air conditioning much appreciated in both bedrooms. Kitchen was perfect. We sat outside on the beautiful patio every night and played games and drank Italian wine. The view is to die for! It was so hard to leave. The book Camilla left in the villa had great ideas for our visit and we went to a couple. Wish we could have stayed a month! "
