Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront Mackinaw City

8/10 Good

"Loved the private beach area and the big picnic tables so we could eat dinner right along the beach! Pool was also very nice and our kids loved it. Breakfast was convenient, as was the location. Staff was helpful as we needed a cot to fit our 3rd kid in our room (probably an Expedia issue that we booked a room for 5 but only had a room that slept 4 before having to pay for a cot each night). Definitely an older hotel that showed (mini-fridge wasn't cold at all, shower was not great but worked, etc.) But overall would stay there again!"

"Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights on a vacation to Mackinac Island, it was so nice!! The room we stayed in was just renovated. Loved the hot tub! The room and bathroom were very nice and clean.. and in all honesty - nicer than my own bathroom. Staff was helpful. Provided wood and firestarter for the firepits outside! perfect view of the water as well. Def would come again."

"Charming, clean, close to town and yet far enough away for it to be peaceful. I wish the view of the water was better but the gardening is heavenly! Great layout for breakfast with friendly staff (a few gluten free options with boxed cereal, fruit, yogurt, ham, cheese and hard boiled eggs). There is a fireplace outside to sit and enjoy the evening, rocking chairs to enjoy people watching and a put-put course just down the street! So many great things to say about this location, will be returning!"

"Friendly staff, great location, good price, free parking. There could be more attention to housekeeping details - we had to hunt for our TV remote - found it behind a chest of drawers, there were spots on the carpet which we cleaned up. There is limited soundproofing. In the morning between 6-10am we heard many doors slam - soft close doors would help."
