"Beautifully appointed older hotel. Breakfast is quite nice as is afternoon coffee although the gratis afternoon coffee applies only to cafe americano I quickly learned. The location is great with lots going on near the hotel. Landmark destinations such as The Prado and Retiro Park are less than a half hour walk. My room overlooked Gran Via so it was fun to people watch from my balcony. And the windows had electronically controlled shutters that eliminated all outside light and noise at night. Great place if you want to be in the center of all the activity."

"This hotel was great in regard to location because it is close to the airport. The stay was comfortable and clean. However, don’t book this hotel for the airport shuttle. Regardless of being ready and waiting in the designated spot almost 10 minutes before departure, the shuttle had already left, with the next one being 45 minutes in the future. "
