"Such an amazing place. The staff, food, and proximity to wildlife/wilderness are all outstanding. Anyone looking to head off into the last great frontier should have a stay at the Summit Lake Lodge for a night or two. Recommend renting the lakefront cabins, as waking up to a cup of coffee in bed with incredible views helps start any day with a smile. "It is not fancy and the television wasn't working the first night, the restaurant wasn't open for dinner but the views were stunning. We had a really yummy traditional breakfast for only $10 a plate which was our cheapest meal of the trip. We aren't picky We were just happy to be in Alaska "

"Our stay was perfect! The setting was lovely against the mountains. There was a walking path decorated with delightful sculptures around the property. Our room was large and tastefully decorated. The owners were very personable. Breakfast was on time and tasty. I would definitely recommend this place. "
