"Very comfortable stay in a scenic location. Trail lake right behind the lodge with scenic snow clad mountains. Clean property, Scott is a very friendly host. The lodge has a restaurant which serves amazing hot chocolate. We found decent veg options (delicious veg curry and sandwhiches). The place might look a lottle old but has good soul. The room had cute alaska paintings. Even the curtains, lamp, vedsheets all had alaskan beuty captured( forest, moose, mountains etc). Must stay"

"Absolutely loved this property, great location, what a view! The room was decently sized with neat and clean bathroom and a separate shower section."

"Not much to look at and the room was small but, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was on the second floor above the bar, surprisingly it was not noisy at all. The bar is a unique place with a lot of bar charm. We ate chicken wings and they were good. The one staff person we saw took care of everything. She was the registration desk, barmaid and waitress. She was friendly and provided excellent service. There was a nice walking path nearby. Definitely no frills but for a one night stay it was fine."

"Nice quiet spot to spend the night. Rooms only have a bed and minium space. But, the main building has all the comforts of home. Refrigerator, restroons, fireplace, books, guitar piano. Very comfortable. Also outdoor firepit. Serve yourself arrangment. An envelope with my name was posted on the door. Key was in the door ready for me. Includes a patking spot infront of your cabin. 3 miles from Seward."
