"I stumbled on a hidden gem while visiting the Hudson Valley. The rooms were spacious and very clean. I was in the Strawberry room and it was decorated with new furniture and appliances. You entered into a living and full kitchen area then went into a spacious bedroom with a comfortable king bed. David the owner and manager was more than hospitable staying up late to accommodate my late arrival. I had to leave early before breakfast and David fixed up a “care package” so I would have something to...

"This unique property was awesome. The Staff were welcoming and helpful. The room and private bathroom were luxurious and provided a quiet and extravagant comfort without being pretentious. The extra amenities such as makeup washcloths, a glass container with full-size cotton balls and Q-tips were an added perk (after driving through a snow squalls- was much needed)."

"Our stay was rather disappointing. The property seems neglected. Some lightbulbs in the bathroom were not working . The coffee maker was really filthy inside. Instead of breakfast we were offered some packaged pastry from a gas station. Plus, there were a bunch of insects in the room. There was no drinking water in the property we ended up driving to get water. I don’t understand they can charge so much money "

"The owners did masterful work restoring this home yet paid so much attention in providing up-to-date amenities that people have come to expect. Every convenience was thought of and there were wonderful treats and surprises at every turn. I particularly enjoyed their love of the Hudson River School and all of the lovely artwork represented from room to room. Local history is honored in the house and their knowledge of it is vast. "

"This is a cozy property in a very rural setting. The host is extremely responsive and very thorough. It is quiet and private. The furniture and bed are very comfortable. The wood burning stove is a pellet stove which provides enough heat to take the edge off. The hot tub could comfortably fit 4 people. The Village of Cold Spring is less than 10 minutes away, as is the Interstate 84 bridge across the Hudson. If you want to make your own food, bring it. There is no grocery store nearby."
