"Stayed in the Estrella room, it was beyond beautiful. Long scenic walk to the room, kitchenette, and filtered water in the full sized fridge. Staff was very kind and helpful, since the hotel was 6 hours from SJO we had to leave at 4 am and to our surprise there was a staff member there to assist with checkout. There are no key drop-boxes, so I was worried about how we were going to return it. Overall an amazing stay."

"Flor is a remarkable woman who keeps an incredible little home tucked away in the trees! A perfect embodiment of the funky jungle meets coastal vibes of Montezuma, just a short (very steep) hike away from town. ATV or car extremely recommended to get up the hill and down to beaches/shops, but it is possible to get there on foot. Shuttle buses will meet you at the main road, the hike from there is not too bad. Not a place for partying or family vacations, but perfect for the couple or very small group needing a place to call home base while exploring the Nicoya Peninsula!"

"If you want local rustic beach charm by the beach this place is perfect. We stayed during the beginning of dry season in early January. The house offered a lovely front deck with a table and hammock and cozy lounge spaces inside. We had the basics for cooking and cleaning up and were only a 3 min drive (10-15min walk down the hill) to the little town of Montezuma. You are tucked away back off the main road down a low maintenance road and you feel like you are right in the middle of the jungle. We had a whole troupe of monkeys come through one afternoon for a long personal viewing. "

"Joachim is a great host. Very organized and attentive. The view is stunning, and the wildlife is off the charts! We saw howler monkeys and white faced monkeys right next to the house. We also saw some critters on the ground next to the porch, and agouti, and one I can't remember the name of. All manner of birds, probably 30 different species. "
