The hotel listed having a kitchen and bar. The kitchen was limited to offering a mediocre breakfast. The bar was limited to selling one type of beer, no wine nor cocktails. The amenities included a gym. A small, dark room with three aerobic devices does not count as a gym. The staff were helpful and nice.

Beyond my expectations, excellent place. Clean, attentive staff, very good breakfast, comfortable beds, at one block from the "rambla" and a few blocks from the downtown and the Ciudad Vieja.

Our stay here was super and we enjoyed our time in Montevideo so much partly because of this hotel! The room we had (top floor, balcony) was a huge space in which we enjoyed spending our time. The drawback was the bathroom, very weak shower but that is the only issue worth noting!

Comfortable roomy suite near pedestrian areas

Spacious suite with table and chairs and a nice view of the river from wall to wall windows. However, the twin beds are very narrow so they feel restrictive.

It was windy one night and the window had a poor seal. The wind is making squeaky sound loud enough to be heard when you get out of the elevator on the 3rd floor. Asked the front desk if there is anything can be done. Dude was unapologetic and shrugged his shoulder like it's none of his business. Two things can be improved, better window seal and a better night shift staff.

I am surprised this hotel has. 4 star rating and is ranked so high. This is my first negative review ever as I tend to let go of such things. The staff barely speaks any English. It is very hard to communicate. I ran out of toilet paper one day and I tried to get one from the cleaning lady who was going to service my roo,. Instead she yelled like an unhinged person. The toilet leaked; I flagged this but it was never addressed. The front desk people are sullen and rarely wnt to talk to you especially if you are an English speaker. Breakfast is $12 and a miserable affair (a couple of pastries, cheese ham and some coffee). You can’t self serve because they yell at you. They need to serve breakfast but there’s only one person that serves the breakfast area usually so it takes a long time. Overall, a horrible experience. I have stayed at 2 star hotels in the past with superior service. STAY WAY FROM THIS HOTEL.
