"Amazing property with spectacular views. Our host was fantastic. Getting to the house the first time is an adventure, but the town that sits below is cute with very cool stores and shops. It is a 15 minute drive to the train station and then another 20-25 minutes and you are in the middle of Rome. We are thinking about coming back with our younger kids in a year or two, just an incredible vacation and place to stay"

"The house is really unique, spacious and well equipped. The kitchen area and garden have a rustic charm while the other levels reflect the local roman heritage with marble and frescoes galore. The house is very large and in a quiet neighbourhood with spectacular views over the surrounding hills. En suites are small but practical. On road parking is plentiful. Kitchen equipment is generous if a bit mix and match. TV and white goods all work well though wifi is a bit slow. Had a wonderful few days...

"We had an incredible team weekend at Villa Silj. Bernard and his wife were the best hosts I’ve had yet with Vrbo. They were accommodating, resourceful and made us a once in a lifetime dinner that was paired with tasty organic Italian wine from the region. "Such a great place to stay. Very relaxing and the perfect way to decompress after being in Rome. Marco has a beautiful property and Suni was an all star in assisting us while we were there. Grilled steaks on the grill, pizza in the pizza oven. Steam rooms, gorgeous pool, and excellent kitchen to make home cooked meals each night. Hope to be back."

"We've had a lovely stay at this villa. Best way I can describe it is as an authentic Italian experience well away from tourists and the beaten track. Easy to get to Rome though ( train from Zagarolo ) and we can recommend the Hydromania water park too, a 40 minute drive away. We spent most of our time relaxing and the pool was brilliant for our children and we hardly spent any time indoors. A big thanks to the owner PierPaolo and to Angelo the gardener."

"Kitchen has everything you would need if you like to cook...and we do! House is spacious-House is secure with fence -gate-lights and fence and hill surrounding it. There are huge metal shutters on each door and window that must be locked and shut whenever u depart. Takes some getting used to. The house has marble floor throughout. "It was perfect for a family of nine and Martina and our hosts were amazing! This is a place you’ll never want to leave. One day there was a big wind storm and the pool was littered with leaves. Early the next morning a crew cleaned it up like nothing ever happened. They also arranged to have a wonderful dinner cooked for us that we will never forget. This is a perfect place to stage a large group going to Roma and Firenze."

"Our family loved our stay at Paola's villa! It was great to be able to escape the city every day and come back to such a beautiful, quiet place. It was incredibly hot while we were there, so the pool was a perfect escape from the heat - very clean and the perfect temperature. Getting to and from Rome.was a breeze. The train takes about 50 minutes to get into central Rome. The schedule can be hit or miss, but we were able to just hop on a bus instead. The town of Castelnuovo was also amazing....

"We really loved our holiday at Meridolio. The house is so well equipped and perfect for a multi generational family. We loved exploring the local villages and the many superb restaurants. The local train station also made it easy for visits to Rome and for getting to and from the airport. Jeanette and Francesco could not have been more helpful; when our family arrived at the airport and there was no car seat for our toddler grandson somehow they found one for us and delivered it to the house...
