"We first stayed here as the Bella Lui Hotel but it is now run by a youth hostel organisation. It has lost the charm of the private hotel and is now, because it is a hostel, more functional. The period furniture and ornaments have been replaced by standard facilities. Classic Swiss in a beautiful setting
"Can't say enough good things about our stay. We enjoyed it so much we extended an extra 2 days (stayed 5). The breakfast buffet is the best we've had in 2 months. The staff are friendly and will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. Kandersteg is a lovely village that's not overrun with tourists. There's great hiking in the area and it's convenient to the other, more well known areas."
