Thank you, the house was beautifully decorated and yet incredibly practical for my family. We definitely want to return when the lakes a bit warmer and have recommended it to friends already

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The kids checked all the boxes for our trip- s’mores in the fire pit, fishing in the lake, hiking within a short car ride, and Legoland less than 20 min away! The views from the house are beautiful, and the separate “cabin” bedrooms felt like camping-lite for the kids which was fun. Highly recommend.

This was a great property to unplug and reconnect as a family. The property is at the end of a nice long private road, it was so relaxing and quiet. My boys had a blast playing ping pong, foosball and spending time on the water. When we go back to NY we will definitely look to stay here again.

fun, rustic, well-stocked lake house. We were visiting our son who is a student at West Point and this was the perfect getaway for him to but on civilian clothes and relax with his family on Easter weekend. House is convenient to town and the lake view was beatiful. Our host, Camile, was super helpful and responsive. we will definiteky stay here again if she will let us!

Highly recommend this property. Not to far from NYC. Camille was so easy to work with. Her property is spectacular and the house is so well appointed with many architectural and design details. Lots to do by the lake and indoors too. Would definitely come back.

Camilla was great to communicate with and was super flexible. We decided to escape the city for some business planning with three partners. Her house is beautifully located with great features like the pingpong table, the hammock, the kayaks and close to hiking trails - which we all used to clear our heads from time to time.

This architectural delight is cleverly designed, detailed, furnished and sited, to create a true "camp" indoor/outdoor living experience. We visited the area for a falconry experience and enjoyed visiting the small towns and farmers markets while we were there. But truly, we could have stayed at the house the whole time as it was relaxing and picturesque. Thoughtful and responsive host.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house is unusual and clearly a lot of thought and effort went into it. The owner was particularly kind both in her advice on local attractions and in the great care that was apparently taken in making sure the house had everything a guest would need. We especially loved kayaking on the lake, and we even spotted a beaver there, which thrilled us all. :)

Our family of 5 and a few friends enjoyed a wonderful stay at this amazing home. The location is perfect for getting away from everything yet close to stores to stock up on supplies. The lake access adds to the already great home and location. The home is very well stocked for cooking and enjoying time with friends and family. The wood burning stoves along with plenty of supplied wood only adds to the fun. A special thank you to Camille for making everything simple and enjoyable. One of the nicest stays we have had. Highly recommend.

This is truly one of the best rental experiences we’ve ever had, Camille’s home is absolutely stunning. Between the deck, the fire pit, the dock or just hanging out in the house with the doors open out into nature you never need to leave- we didn’t. Camille was also friendly and flexible and easy to communicate with. Can not recommend this property enough, we can’t wait to return! Thanks Camille!

This cabin is great! It has an excellent common area. The accordion screen doors were a major plus, although it was raining on out stay the open screen doors made it enjoyable to listen to and see the trees. It was relaxing. I will say that going with younger children it’s uneasy having them sleep in a separate cabin area luckily the futons were comfortable enough for them to spend the night on. Camille was an excellent host. We will definitely make our way back!

We loved our stay here. My husband, two young kids, grandparents. Not having any TVs was actually a blessing. My kids who normally wake up and watch TV would wake up and read books by the fireplace!! A miracle. They loved sleeping in the cabins. My parents loved the view of the lake all around us. We listened to music, cooked together, went on beautiful hikes, roasted marshmallows by the campfire, made lots of nice family memories. Everyone loved it. And Camille was an incredible host who was so very accessible and gracious.

Easily the best VRBO I (or my guests!) had ever been in. Gorgeous house and ideal location for a relaxing girls weekend near NYC. The photos truly do not do this place justice. It rained the first day and we still had an amazing time- it felt like we were in a fancy tree house above the lake! It really is ideal for a group of singles or large families, as there are lots of single beds and the open plan is HUGE so we could all comfortably be together and also not share beds. The lake was super warm in mid August and we had so much fun swimming and kayaking. Didn’t use the fire pit, but there was ample outdoor seating and a picnic table if we’d wanted outdoor eating! All in all a perfect weekend, and Camille was great to work with! We didn’t leave the house for 2 days and you wouldn’t need to, but the area also has great hikes and cute towns and famous museums nearby!

I went to this property with a handful of friends for the weekend and it was a lovely place to relax and unwind. The house is funky and fun, with a lovely big kitchen/dining/den area where everyone can hang out together. We also really enjoyed sitting out on the deck, and walking down to the lake for paddle boarding and chatting on the dock. The dining table is a generous size for lots of people and it faces the kitchen nicely, perfect for groups spending time together. Camille is a really helpful, communicative host. Everything in the house was just as she said it would be. A couple things to note: it's not as secluded as I expected from the pictures. While still quiet, it's on a street with many other homes. It's not out in the woods on its own. The cabins are adorable and provide really nice separation but they don't have bathrooms. So people staying in those have to come into the main house (even in the middle of the night) if they need a bathroom. And the cleaning fee, while noted in the house description, is not included in VRBO's official calculation of the house cost. Didn't love that. Overall, a great retreat from NYC. We had really fun outings to Blooming Hill Farm, Storm King, and Cold Spring. The lake was fun, and the house was lovely.

We arrived in the dark and had a precarious process trying to find the entrance. Future guests should know there is no driveway to the door, only a gravel foot path we eventually found the next morning when it was light out. There is very little lighting and we counted on the lights of our cars to find the entrance and carry in our weekend needs. We did not see the path at night and literally stumbled our way carrying all we needed for a weekend with a wedding and infant to the house. Another factor to know is that unloading groceries, baby necessities, luggage will involve carrying your items a distance to the house. In our case four adults made several trips from the car to the house. In the dark and over rocks, etc. While we realize the weekend we were there was one of the first cold weekends, weather forecasts indicated it would be chilly and it was. There was literally no heat turned on in the house. Last minute directions described turning on space heaters. That was the first we heard of the need for space heaters. It was freezing in the house and all thermostats were shut off and we were directed to shut them off when we left again. The house took several hours to warm up and we had made it clear we would have an infant with us. I did not expect to have such an uncomfortable several hours waiting for the house to warm up and keeping a baby warm enough. I encourage the owner or property manager to review the work of their cleaning service. The handles of all the kitchen appliances and cabinets drawers were sticky and grimy. We understand the lack of a dishwasher is more in line with the cabin feel (we also have a cabin) but none of the knives or utensils, strainers were clean and needed to be washed before using. That was very disappointing since it was so time consuming. We switched to paper plates and pre washed all we used. In general the house was not clean. Surfaces like the dining table were sticky. The tree canopy out the windows was beautiful due to fall colors. Walking is very limited since the street of this cabin is off a busy street. We had hoped to walk much more than we did. The bed linens in the master had questionable spots on them. The owner was very prompt about answering our questions and we appreciated that but I did not think we’d have to inquire whether we could see the entrance easily or drive up to it to unload or if the house would be warm enough or at least somewhat warm upon our arrival.

We loved this property! My friends and Family are not super campers but wanted to get as close as possible, we loved the layout of the house and all the amazing details. My sister brought her 4 week old baby and he slept like a champ the whole time even with out AC! We brought our own extra fans just in case for the bedrooms but the main house was very comfortable with all windows open and house provided fans.

We rented this house for my son's graduation from West Point. we loved it. It is very peaceful and fun for entertainment for all ages. They had the fireplaces ready for us just to be lit up when we arrived, which was a nice detail since it was cold. The owner was super nice and helpful for all our needs. could not have asked for better!!
