By far the best Hilton I've ever stayed in. The heirloom restaurant is probably some of the best food I've had in my life. Would stay here again without hesitation and would encourage folks to do the same
Hotel was beautifully designed, staff friendly, and food excellent. Only complaint is that parking is an off site and not easily accessible. Had to take luggage up and down stairs and across railroad tracks.
I’ve stayed at this property many times. It’s extremely aesthetically appealing and the staff are super friendly but that’s as far as it goes. It’s nothing really special about or comes with the hotel. Basic amenities, no free breakfast, or no pool. And for the price you pay, you'd think….but nope, nothing. Actually, this is probably the nicest hotel in this dead town. EXTREMELY expensive for the area though. Anyway, it’s 2 bars on the property, 1 restaurant (entirely gluten free apparently), it’s nestled in a nice little part of town, around the corner from this AMAZING steakhouse called Doe’s and across the street from 2 off site bars on either side if you’re into that. So yeah, enjoy your expensive non noteworthy stay, I sure do lol.
My husband’s employer had their Christmas party here and we decided to book a room. We only stayed the one night, but the experience was excellent. The lobby and bar area was exceptionally clean and well decorated. The staff were so friendly and helpful. All of the bartenders were very knowledgeable. Our room was impressive and the bathroom was one of the best hotel bathrooms I have experienced. The location is great, close proximity to local restaurants.
amazing experience. Came after my wedding and the staff was extra amazing. They left us a beautiful bouquet for us when we got there. To top it off the bar upstairs had a Friendsgiving dinner with excellent drink specials that night They serve breakfast but for thanksgiving morning, they had a breakfast buffet that was amazing.

The cleanliness of the room, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel really stood out. Everything felt well-maintained, welcoming, and comfortable, which made the stay enjoyable from start to finish. The shower and the room were absolutely amazing — truly beautiful. I loved the scenery and design inside the room; everything felt intentional, calming, and luxurious. I experienced a level of comfort and relaxation like never before. It is definitely worth getting a deluxe or premium room.
Loved it. Clean and fun. Looks great. Friendly staff. Good food. Did not even hear the train horns which blast multiple times a day. Would rate it a 4.75 if I could. My only complaint are the ice bags. Some people probably like that and find it boutique-y. But it's hard to open, frozen in clumps, and so tiny that it melts within a couple of hours. I like cold water throughout the night. Also, I think the AC doesn't stay set below 71. It will revert at night, but maybe that was my room.

The artwork was so beautiful! The bed was very comfortable. Very quiet on the first floor. We enjoyed seeing the gorgeous ballroom. The work put into restoring this building was amazing. Even stopped by the Jay Davis studio and bought some of his pieces. Monroe is very lucky to have a local artist such as Jay who contributed to the beauty of this hotel and the local zoo!
When you walk in, the property has so much character and charm from the past. Bar keeps have the newsboy hats and it’s a beautiful place. Very clean and bars were nice. It’s a newer property in an older renovated building which adds character but the noise is an issue for a peaceful night sleep. Food is really good (dinner/bar food/appetizers/breakfast). The rooftop bar was fun and drinks are excellent. I think they are still working out the kinks with the wait staff for the restaurant downstairs. There are quiet places as well as lively areas. If you are wanting to do a night or two away with that special someone, I think it would be a good getaway. There is a Nice 2 room accommodation to host small business events or meetings.
I’ll start with the good. The staff was professional and responsive. On the other hand, Clarity was lacked. ALL fees should be shown when booking. I was charged twice after being told that it was for taxes and parking. Meanwhile being told that deposit will be placed back on my card and which I didn’t receive. I changed rooms because the first one was hot, only side of the sink worked, and the water pressure in the shower was low.
Hotel Monroe was beautiful with clean well kept rooms! Bathroom was a bit on the smaller side so if you require a larger bathroom space, I would keep that in mind, but overall a lovely stay!
We could not be happier with our stay at Hotel Monroe. I love it when an older unused building has been restored to become such a beautiful facility. I would give this hotel my highest recommendation.
Great hotel in a quaint neighborhood! Room and property were clean and staff provided great service, including a glass of champagne at check-in! This was also the perfect location to see the fireworks. Will definitely stay here again if we are in Monroe!
