Kirsten Accommodation Mudgee
8/10 Good
"Fantastic accomodation for our family’s short (weekend) stay in Mudgee. Great quiet location within walking distance to the town centre. Comfortable beds. Lock up garage on the smaller side, nothing bigger than a medium sized vehicle. Main bedroom has 2 small wardrobes. Other bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage. BYO clothes hangers. Check in and out was easy. Lovely busy town with a variety of shops, cafes and pubs."

The Parkview Hotel Mudgee
8/10 Good
"The room had a very pungent smell of some type of vanilla oil. It was real headache material for me. After hours of aircon & opening door to the veranda, it dissipated somewhat. The tapas restaurant adjoining the hotel was very good."

Mudgee Apartments on Horatio
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely roomy apartment full of nice touches. Well appointed kitchen and a useful little outdoor area. All the furniture and fittings were as new. Location wise it’s a few kilometers from restaurants and bars, but by no means is it out of the way. We had a bit of an issue with a noisy fridge while staying there, but the owner was very responsive and no doubt it will be repaired by now."

Soldiers Motel
8/10 Good
"My room was a curious mix - mostly good, with just a little bad... not enough to spoil my stay. The bed was big, clean and reasonably comfy. There was everything you might need to feed yourself - fridge, microwave, cutlery, crockery, tea and coffee, washing-up liquid etc. It was nice to have a bath and shower and - as I was on the ground floor - my own parking spot. The small outdoor swimming pool was a bit cold but I dipped my toes in all the same! The pool had a couple of comfy loungers next to it. Each room had a little table and two chairs outside, which was a nice touch. The only downside to that is that large family groups would congregate and sit around outside someone's room, and chat until late - not great if, like me, you're the guy next door who isn't in the group and wants to get some sleep. The nights were on the cool side and the heating worked well. The worst thing for me was the bathroom, which had ceiling / wall mould in several places, cracked tiles and the enamel peeling off the bath. The bathroom was in serious need of renovations, while the rest of the room was fine. What I didn't know until I booked this stay is that Mudgee is ALWAYS busy with festivals / sporting events / weddings / misc other things, and rooms are (a) hard to find and (b) often expensive. Given that my room was only $140 per night in October, I can't bring myself to criticise it too much... it wasn't perfect but to be fair, it was really good value and I'd go back again."
