"The location of this hotel can't be beat. The pool and the dock on the river are amazing! The rooms are OK, a little dated but served the purpose. "Just needed a place to lay our head. Everywhere in town was triple the price. When I read the reviews and reviewed the price I was a little skeptical however Rahul at the front desk was very pleasant and showed us a true southern welcome. It was not the best spot in town of course but his welcome made it the most pleasured. It was tucked away (the property) but close to everything. The room was not the “most” sanitized but it def gave a safe place to lay our head. "

"The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy....

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Iris. We stayed in a superior suite which was bright and light and with all that we needed for four nights. It turned out we were in a great area with lots of delicious dining options and a short walk from King Street which is the Main Street in Charleston. We walked everywhere.
