"This is an old building with many stairs and levels. The room was fine. Lighting was a bit dim in the toilet and the room initially had a lingering smell of cleaning chemicals though that dissipated. The evening meal was OK and the beer was in good condition showing someone knows how to keep real ale. The breakfast was excellent! Suggest that an addition of a USB port in the bedroom would be good."

Property is in need of updating, pillows need replacing, bed rattles, floorboards squeak. My room was on the 4th floor, no lift. The hotel is good value for money, I got what I paid for."
