"This was a one-night stay for me as I was in town for business. Given that the hotel room was not going to be the highlight of my stay, it was exactly what I needed. It was extremely clean and extremely quiet. I live in a very rural area so I know quiet when I hear it and I could not believe what a good night's sleep I got because of it."

"Our stay at the cottage on the Deer River was delightful. The house was pristine and the decor was welcoming and modern - think fluffy towels, brightly colored plates and mugs, cozy comfortable bedding, and plenty of room to unpack. The kitchen has everything you need to cook including a rice maker! You will also find a lazy Susan well stocked with snacks and a jar of homemade jelly. The master bedroom opens to a private patio overlooking the Deer River. The second bedroom as well as the spacious second living room downstairs overlook the river too. Downstairs is equipped with a foosball table and a cozy gas stove that was simple to operate. There are games and wooden toys for children in a locker in the laundry room. The hosts are very accommodating. We returned home after a day away visiting friend and found that they had set up a fire pit and Adirondack chairs for us on a grassy peninsula overlooking the river. They also left a second jar of jelly in the front porch for us to take home. I would definitely stay at Deer River Cottage again!"

"Beautiful property! Vaulted ceilings, plenty of comfortable beds, nice furnishings, clean, responsive. Lots of privacy but neighbors not too far in case of emergency. An Amish horse and buggy drove by one day. Have coffee in the morning or wine in the evening on the back deck for a fantastic view. Or watch the total solar eclipse like we did! It was mud season while we were there so we didn't feel like hiking to the river but I would highly recommend it on drier days. A little diner nearby if you don't feel like cooking in the completely stocked gourmet kitchen. CLAW FOOT BATHTUB! Ahhh. If you want to get away from it all in a nice retreat, this is the property. The ride from the southern portion of New York State up to it was amazing, so so beautiful. Highly recommend."

"Not sure what everyone's complaining about. It does need updating, but it was very clean and comfortable with a nice staff. Perfect for what I needed. Area was quiet, seemed safe and the police station was right next to the parking lot. Win/win"
