Welcome to The Lake Escape, a charming lakefront cottage perched above the sparkling waters of Clark’s Hill Lake (Strom Thurmond Lake). This peaceful retreat offers 3 spacious bedrooms, each with its own beautifully renovated en-suite bathroom—perfect for families or groups seeking comfort and privacy.



Soak in the breathtaking views from multiple levels of outdoor decks or unwind in the expansive screened-in porch, a guest favorite for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The home features a fully stocked kitchen, soft, comfortable linens, and lake towels ready for your adventures.



Cool off with a refreshing swim right from the private boat dock. Feeling adventurous? Paddle out in our canoe or one of our kayaks—choose between a single or a double. Have your own boat? Bring it along! Or, for the ultimate lake day, ask us about renting our Pontoon Boat.

Boat will be full of gas, parked in the covered dock in front of the home.



$500 per day, 2 day minimum.



That includes a tank of gas, you do not have to fill it back up!

Relaxing getaway

Perfect spot for us to enjoy time together on the water….. Beautiful home….well maintained and comfortable. Lots of outdoor opportunities in the screened in porch, multi deck locations and the covered pier . We would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a place to stay in Modoc.

Perfect Location

Our group really enjoyed our stay for Labor Day weekend! Perfect location close to boat ramp, fishing spots, and beach. Plenty of room on the dock for both our boats and ample parking in the driveway for boat trailers and cars. Very clean house with plenty of space, LOVED the screened in porch.

The place was awesome. Check-in was easy lake access, floating dock, park the boats. The only issue that I had was the keypad lock code seemed to time out, and we could not lock the door from the outside when we went into town

It's hard to imagine the amount of work that was required to get the cottage ready after the storm. Really fine effort to make it available and pleasant. Thank you. We had a new born great grand child and were able to visit and meet him as well as golf and fish. All wonderful .

Just returned from our stay at this house. Was absolutely perfect for our family gathering. The bunks were a little challenging to get into and out of, as they are intended for small children, but we slept well as the mattresses were very comfortable. Lake House

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The host was really nice and easy to reach if we needed anything. Its clear from our visit that the host put a lot of thought into the guest and their needs with this rental. It was very clean and WELL stocked. They literally supply every household item, even some extras, you may need for your stay. The view of the lake from the back patio, which is fully enclosed, was absolutely gorgeous and quite comfortable with plenty of seating room. I would highly recommended this property to anyone. I would definitely stay again.
