When I booked this hotel on Expedia, I was given the option to pay later, which I selected. When we arrived at the hotel, there was no lobby - just a sign on the door saying I should have received a code. I called the number and was told I needed to pay before I received a code. My friends and I had planned on paying cash, but thankfully we were able to put it all on my friend's credit card. Thank goodness we got there when we did, because I don't know if they would have answered the phone late at night. The room was decent; the outlet to the air conditioner was uncovered and loose, so I had to prop the cord up over an end table to get it to work. The beds were very firm and noisy (they had plastic mattress protectors on them) and the pillows were HUGE -- my friends and I all had to sleep without them. The door didn't have very good sealing around it or a dark curtain, so the sunlight was beaming in super early in the morning. There are no windows, so fresh air is not possible. The room also had a weird stench to it - it reminded me of how bars smell first thing in the morning -- way too much cleaner covering up dirtiness. The description and pictures of the room made it sound/appear what nicer than it was. We were glad that it had a kitchenette and table for us to eat at. The location was good. But for being what I would rate as a 1-star hotel, the price was ridiculous - $170 a night. I guess that's what you get for being in Moab.
