Every year, my family, including our dogs drive from Los Angeles to our home in Aspen, Colorado, and we almost always spend the night in Green River along the way because it’s a bit much to make the drive all in one shot. We have stayed numerous times in several of the other well-known chain hotels there, but we had never stayed here until this year. Suffice to say that we will be staying here every year going forward. This property is closer to the river, which is nice, and they have an area for dogs that is nicer than the other hotels we’ve stayed. The rooms are dated but in a funky cool way. The staff was exceedingly nice and we really got the feel of an independent owner who cares about and cares for the property, which you don’t get at the other chains in the area. The icing on the cake was that the price was at least $100 cheaper than the other hotels available that night at the last minute, e.g., the Hilton, which we never loved anyway. Even at the same price, however, my family would prefer to stay here. It’s not a luxury hotel of course but none of the hotels in the area are. It’s a base camp for your river or other local adventures, or a place to get a good night sleep in a clean bed on a road trip, which was the case with us. It definitely felt clean, the beds were comfortable, and it had personality for lack of a better way to describe it. We definitely recommend it and will happily return.

Bed was firm but comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower. Room was clean and free breakfast was a decent selection. We didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and was operational. The Tamarisk Restaurant across the street was busy but very good food. We would stay there again.

This property is showing its age. The toilet seat in our bathroom is too smallfor the bowl. The tiles on the floor are cracked. The fake woodgrain on the door to the bahroom is peeling off. The room is clean. The mattresses are comfortable.

The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful. Kudos to him. Breakfast wasn't scheduled until 7:00. With the heat of the summer, most people like to get on the road early. We arrived a little early. The only food available was bread for toast which was already demolished by the tour group. It was so crowded, we left without eating. I recommend breakfast be served no later than 6:30.
