"I do not recommend to stay in this hotel if...
1). you cannot speak basic Japanese. The staff cannot speak basic English and they were not even trying to use any translator device to communicate with foreign guests. I had to use limited Japanese to communicate with the staff.
2). you cannot tolerate heat nor noise. I checked in 2 days ago. This is already April which is spring season, but the hotel still had not offered cool function of air conditioning. How stubborn the hotel management is....
"The rooms have better and more accommodations than most ,"luxury" and "elite" suites ive been in.
The location in my opinion is great. The town nearby is walkable and its easy to catch the bus."
"Location, location, location walking distance to everything you want from Amanohashidate tourist activities. Great hotel. I had a added pleasure of great sunrise view of the sun arising from Amanohashidate in early June (@4:45am)."
"This was a great ryokan experience for us. The view from the room is spectacular, and the meals were sumptuous and delicious. Shorenkan was the hidden gem of our trip"
"really good facility, close to the water front which i love and in between several areas of interest that you can walk to. The showers and baths were an added bonus as we didnt know that it would include the hot bath, really good to come back to that after a long day. The only issue we had was the pillows are a lot stiffer than what we're used to so it was...

"The hotel is located in Miyazu, a short bus ride from Amanohashidate so technically, it's not in Amanohashidate. A very nice Western hotel, roomy by Japanese standards! The property is well maintained, like new. "
