"I think it all has to do with expectations. I think the main problem was it just lacked basic hotel items. No water kettle, no rubbish bin in the room, you had to pay for a coffee or tea yet there was no way to get any - same with water, luckily you can just drink the tap water. I think overall it would be a 5/5 if the hotel was rated 3 stars and was about 100 euros less a night"

"Unbelievable hotel. The property was unique and had everything we needed..gym (small, but efficient), bar and restaurant) it was also central to our excursions as we did many hikes in the region. There were a lot of bikers staying so I assume it was great terrain for them as well. If you’re staying in the Dolomites, I would highly recommend this place. Shout out to Armand who took care of us at the bar!"

"Restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful. Food is amazing. Front desk staff is professional and courteous. Also, we were given shuttle rides to the Campolongo Ski slope every day. Our driver is dedicated, friendly and so reliable, always there to take us to the slope, help with the skis or luggage. Overall a great experience. "

"Away from the centre of the village, surrounded by mountains, we had a lovely view from our balcony of a field with donkeys grazing and a small chapel at the far end of the valley. It is quite a hike from the hotel to the lake. If you’re a hiker, then this is the place for you. The dinner was expensive and mediocre. I do not recommend the half-board plan. Breakfast was okay, very limited choices. They benefit from the high tourist numbers obviously reflected in the limited value for money...

"Host is super friendly. We ran into bike race on Sunday and the host gave us detailed driving directions to avoid road blocks and get to our destination. So thanksful to Walter. His wife cooked the best breakfast for us."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mirage. Our family room was genuinely spacious, with a small flight of stairs leading up to a loft annex — a lovely touch that gave the children their own space while keeping us all together. The bathroom was on the smaller side but perfectly functional, and spotlessly clean throughout. The real highlight was the view: the room had the most fabulous mountain outlook through a wide, fully opening window, plus a balcony that was a joy to sit out on. Being just a...
