"The staff were fantastic. We had to leave early to catch a flight and they had a breakfast box prepared for us to take along as well as a gift from the owner. Wish we could have stayed longer."

"The property was very close to downtown which was nice made it easy to walk. Very quiet area, rooms are excellent staff is very friendly and helpful. Only problem was desk is only open 8-6 so we had to stand outside and wait as our cruise ship was in very early so no where to leave our luggage."

"The hotel is situated very close to the square and the cruise dockage. There are many dining and shopping options in the area. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are modern and well-appointed. I wish we would have been able to spend more than one night there."

"We booked 3 rooms at this property the night before our cruise, departing out of Trieste. It was the perfect solution! Great pricing, very walkable and convenient, so much to do in the area. The hotel was comforable (albiet rooms a little small, but very comfortable). The area around the hotel was wonderful and so many great restaurants. The staff was very helpful and stowed our luggage until our we left for the cruise port. They promptly arranged transportation for us to the port....yes it is walkable, but you really don't want to schlep your bags.....the taxi was quick, easy and inexpensive. But the most impressive thing was the AMAZING breakfast. I have never seen a spread like the one that they put out. It was stunning.....one would expect to pay $25 for the breakfast alone...but to have it included was incredible. Trieste is a beautiful area and we hope to travel there again.....when we do, we will absolutely book at the Modernist."
