"I was worried to share this gem but they deserve the credit, this was the best hotel we stayed at in Costa Rica, had the villa without a pool, private, secluded, and clean. The breakfast was in a room near a balcony overlooking the mountains and valley. Somewhat like a dream! It's so close to the waterfall which makes visiting it so easy and it's a short drive to town for great dining."

"Lovely little B&B with a warm and friendly, artsy vibe. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Water heat/pressure was sometimes hit or miss (not a real issue, but just to level set expectations) and there was no A/C (as expedia said there would be)--but it's way up in the mountains and open windows cooled things fine! We loved the staff, the tasty breakfast, the beautiful bottles embedded in the walls spreading color everywhere, and the amazing patio! PLENTY nearby in terms of food, including a Soda right next door with GIANT delicious empanadas!"

"I loved the views this property gave! The room was basic but clean. But the VIEWS were everything! I loved the fact that they had a hiking trail on property, it was a good distance trail that gave a decent workout. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the drinks were good. The pool is well kept but there wasn't a pool bar like it advertised. Definitely would need a car to get anywhere since it's located about 30 minutes from most activities. I would stay again just for the views and peaceful atmosphere. "

The pictures on Expedia and the word “Lodge” in the name don’t do just to the quality of accommodation and the service level. The decor and the ambience - in the common areas and in the room set this hotel apart. Looks like the property has been completely renovated recently - everything felt very new. We had an issue during our stay but they took care of it very quickly. "
