"I almost skipped over this property because the rating seemed low at first glance. But after reading through the reviews, I realized most of the complaints were about trivial things—like the lack of a TV—rather than the actual quality of the stay. I’m so glad I gave it a chance. We booked the family suite and were pleasantly surprised to find it was a small, private cabin with a full kitchenette. It was spotless, quiet, and in a convenient location. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, cozy, and affordable place to stay, this is it. Mary, the host, was incredibly kind and thoughtful—she even called to make sure we had all the instructions for checking in. When we had a question, she responded promptly and cheerfully. If you’re here to experience the beauty of the area, don’t let the absence of a TV sway you. This is one of the most beautiful places in the world—who needs a screen? Highly recommend. "Alexander’s Lodge is cute and quaint! Conveniently located right outside the Nisqually entrance at Mt Rainer National Park. It’s the perfect, quiet getaway. Would definitely visit again!"

"We had an amazing stay at Mineral schoolhouse. My adult siblings with families of their own all fit in the very sizeable rooms comfortably with plenty of room and interesting things to keep us entertained and active. We played pickleball in the gym, enjoyed a stage performance put on by the kids, played bingo, watched tv in the family room, played "school", walked to the lake, pretended to be lunch ladies, rang the school classes bell, sent their parents to the principal's office, etc. So much fun and was such an interesting venue for us. Everyone wants to book again!! Super close to Mt Rainier park, hiking, and EZ time horseback riding that we also enjoyed."

"We got an upgrade to a cabin (yay!), and stayed in Cabin 1. It's definitely dated and the lighting in the cabin left something to be desired, but you are literally feet away from Mount Rainier NP at a fraction of the price of other places. It was quiet and the beds were comfy. "
