Birthday Girls Weekend

This property was absolutely perfect for a birthday girls weekend. It had a great kitchen, a big round table for conversations over meals, beautiful, comfortable rooms and a beautiful, quiet and calming view. We would absolutely book this cabin again.

Spacious and quiet

The house location gave the feeling of seclusion. The neighborhood was very quiet. We enjoyed the pool table, air hockey and game room but would say that the mattresses need some attention. We enjoyed our stay and visiting the area.

Blue horizon for the whole family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was clean and had all the necessary amenities to have a great time. We played pool till 3am. Must follow the directions carefully because getting to the house might be a bit tricky if you are not used to mountain roads but totally worth it.

All was as shown on the website with the exception of the skeeball table which was removed and the dart game which didn't work. We had a great time any way. May want an SUV to get up there though. A small car may not make it. But the best view from any cabin we have stayed in.

cleaning crew needs help

When we arrived cob webs in doorways inside, bedding had dead bugs, hair, and had not been changed in a very long time, toilet seats had wrap claiming to be sanitized however the bowl was black with scum showers and bath tub had to wiped free of hair and bugs, it took us over an hour to sweep and clean toilets, showers and tub not to mention washing sheets thank goodness we brought laundry pods that saved us from going to store. Would have been nice if grass was cut so kids could run outside however it was knee high. A new cleaning crew is highly recommended. Other than that the house was amazing and very well equipped for large groups. Plenty of space for everyone game-room was a big hit and the well equipped kitchen made meals easy to prepare. The table accommodated everyone so we could share meal time as a group.

Well placed vacation home

All was great with the property, location was amazing and peaceful, plenty of space for all to relax and not be on top of each other. The teens loved the game room and my wife and I loved the apartment above. Beautifully done! The only real down side was the trash was not removed from the previous occupants, it was in the "shed" where it is suppose to go and then someone comes to empty it. We also found cigarette butts in the yard/driveway, again not a big deal but thought it note worthy as we did notify the manager and didn't get a response to that either. The front door knob came off and after I sent a message to the property manager, I did get a timely response, but no one came the "NEXT DAY" as mentioned, or the day after, or the day after that.. So I went to the store and bought tools to temporally fix it myself. Granted, your off the beaten trail and it wasn't much of or any security issue, mainly we didn't want to cause any damage. All-in-all fantastic and we would stay there again, without a doubt.

Wonderful getaway

The property looks better in person. Some friends and I booked the stay so we could go rafting and relax for a weekend. The outside garage with pool table and bathroom was great for those who didn't want to hang out in the main house and watch football or cook. We ran out of gras for the grill and they were very quick to come drop put on a new tank. The dining room and kitchen had more than enough space for all of us to not feel cramped. Good times were had and I would recommend staying here to anyone. The hot tub outside the downstairs bedroom is also very nice to go relax in and then just hop on back inside if the air is a bit brisk.

Awesome from the reservation experience to the check out! Except for running out of propane for the grill in the middle of Saturday night dinner, was perfect weekend. The propane turned into an adventure finding a swap out quickly. Mission accomplished at Walmart. Great friends, great times!

50th anniversary getaway

Amazing view

The master bedroom even has a window cut out of the wall, so you can see the view from the bed. The cabin was clean, and very private. I will say the drive up the gravel road gets a bit dicey in a front wheel drive car, but it's not too difficult. The pool table, foozball table, and arcard where in good condition. We only had 2 issues. There were a lot of scorpions in the downstairs area. One of the couples got stung while in bed, and there was a hornet in the upstairs bathroom. The view from the firepit is sort of skewed now, because the trees have grown up some. You can still see the view from the upper deck, but eventually, they are going to need to cut them down, as they will grow past the view. All the reviews saying the floors really creak loudly were right, but it's not a big deal. The only way this would be an issue would be if you had a baby trying to sleep and you were getting up to use the bathroom. Overall, I highly recommend this cabin.

A relaxing stay in the Blue Ridge mountains

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time stay at the "the View". Last summer we love it so much we decide to rent at the same place this summer. We were very disappointment with how dirty the carpet was downstairs , no soap in the bathrooms, limited toilet paper, no laundry soap, two live scorpions in the lower level and several other dead bugs for us to pick up . We arrived late Friday and since none of these issue were emergency we waited til Saturday to call the office and leave a message, never heard back from anyone even thou we left another message Saturday afternoon. We come every year for the Blue Ridge Tri-Athelon and were disappointed to have extended family with us and to have texperience such poor customer service with you company. This will definenly play in our decision on were to stay next summer.
