10 Acre Private Creek and Pond Retreat

Experience the ultimate mountain retreat with your family and furry friends at our wonderful creekside haven. Nestled on a remarkable 10-acre spread, this property is perfect for kids, pups, and nature enthusiasts to romp, frolic, and explore. Step outside to over 1,200 feet of Hemptown Creek frontage, where you can wade into the cool waters, splash around, or cast a fishing line into our stocked trout stream and private pond, teeming with rainbow, brown, and brook trout. Wander through meadows, chase butterflies, track deer, turn over rocks, and relax to the soothing sounds of the babbling brook. Spread a blanket for a family picnic or a romantic interlude by the creek bank, and enjoy some of the best birdwatching around.

As dusk falls, watch fireflies twinkle and then lay back for some serious stargazing, with a clear, unobstructed view of the night sky. Rediscover the Big Dipper and the North Star, gather around the campfire to swap stories and sing songs, or simply enjoy the nocturnal symphony.

Our casual, cozy home features premier bedding, a stone wood-burning fireplace, an open floor plan, and boho-rustic touches that create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The front and rear porches span the length of the cabin, offering first-rate spots for porch sitting and imbibing. The screened-in porch doubles as an extended dining area, reminiscent of a summer camp mess hall.

Enjoyed the visit
Very nice property; it's obvious the owners care. Very convenient location in relation to Blue Ridge, but the natural setting was completely removed from any hint of traffic, people, etc. Fishing was a little sparse, but locals pointed out that we were probably a month early for any serious fishing, primarily because restocking takes place in April. We enjoyed it anyway. The weather cooperated for almost all of the stay. Would definitely recommend.

Feels like home
We love staying here. We return every year. Perfect for the dogs too. I'm pretty sure the dogs would prefer we live here full time.

Nice quiet weekend
My sister, my dog and I enjoyed a nice quiet weekend at this property. We enjoyed the soothing sounds from the creek (wish it had been warm enough to leave the back door open or sit on the porch, but it is February). The layout was perfect for my sister and I to have plenty of space. The kitchen had all that we needed to prepare meals. Thanks!

Loved it!
The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 adults for new years! It really is just 10 minutes away from downtown blue ridge and several other options to eat and buy groceries. The cabin is on a beautiful property. It has a great front porch with plenty of seating and a screened in back porch with a table or two big enough to feed 10 people. The kitchen was nice and the bathrooms too. The fireplace was a nice add and the bbq and fire pit outside were perfect for hanging out. The fishing poles were there for the stocked pond and we had river access. Highly recommend!

Thanksgiving Hideaway
Fantastic location on a beautiful creek. Very secluded property but only a few minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Lots of harwood trees throughout. We came late November, but I imagine this is a great spot in the spring and summer with the tree coverage. We loved that the yard is flat and large as we were able to run the dogs and of course they loved exploring. Inside, it has an open floor plan. We enjoyed some down time either watching a movie or playing board games. Fully maintained kitchen, so we were able to do some cooking while here. We would definitely recommend!

Mountain healing and relaxation
The house was so clean and comfortable. We loved the beautiful stream and the calming sounds of the water burbling by. We absolutely loved the fish pond and fed the fish every day of our stay! So many little touches like that around the house; the S’mores and fire boxes, chairs strategically placed around the property. We roasted sausages and made s’mores on our last night and even in the drizzle, it was an awesome family gathering. Thank you for such a well-appointed, thoughtful rental property!

Fishing weekend
We chose this cabin because of its creek frontage and pond on the property. We caught trophy trout in the creek and countless bream in the pond. The boys had a blast. The grounds are beautiful and we appreciated proximity to Blue Ridge.

Creekside cabin
It was advertised as 10 acres but they fail to mention that most of it is unmowed.
