We were at the toll end of our Scotland Vacation and opted to stay here instead of Glasgow to savor the beauty of rural Scotland for a few more days, and happy we did. This is a bustling hotel given its proximity to major trails but our cabins/pods were quiet and a bit away from everything. We thought they were great. "The stay as a whole was very pleasant. The room, clean, the decor, very nice. My only 'gripe', is that the water pressure for the shower was terrible. I felt I had to run around in the shower to get wet. It was little more than a dribble and I felt I had to stand with my nose against the wall to get under the water. I took ages to have a wash!"

"Kirkhouse Inn was a great place to stay. Certainly an inn built in the 1600’s will have its quirks, as the Kirkhouse did, but it was quiet, comfortable, and very cute. The two restaurants downstairs are fabulous as well. Definitely would stay again."
