"The facility does not have an elevator. We were told the building is part of the UNESCO site and cannot be retrofitted with an elevator. We were fine with stairs but some people may need to consider this when choosing where to stay. The room was also the smallest of all the places we stayed in Croatia during our 10-day trip. "The building is a medical centre and hotel. The entrance via a corridor off the main road and is initially off putting. It is a bit away from the main town but bus stops outside. The roads outside are busy and some traffic noise unless windows closed, but good air con makes this ok. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was a bit basic but nicely set out. "We had a very relaxing time at the Villa which was perfectly suitable for two families because of the separation of the apartments. The children loved the pool and we all loved the sea. It was idyllic to swim in such clear water every day at the bottom of the lane. The walk into Milna took about 20 minutes so you need a car for the shop, which was the only inconvenience. "We have just come back from a lovely week in Villa Gudelj and can definitely recommend it. We were two families of 5 from the UK and spent our second week here after a week in Korcula. The villa is brilliantly set up, the kids used the games, table tennis etc in the basement when it got too hot, the pool is lovely, and the quiet bay is a short walk and wonderful for swimming.
