"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy, mountain cabin. The location was perfect — close to West Jefferson, Wilkesboro, Boone and the area where we plan to build our own cabin. The renovations to this historic home were beautifully done, with a unique paint color palette paired with warm wood tones throughout.The back deck was the highlight — we loved relaxing on the porch swing, watching the clouds and weather roll over the mountains. As a birdwatcher, I also appreciated being able to place a feeder (with the owner’s kind permission) and enjoy seeing mountain birds. The decor throughout was full of charming, historical touches, and the cabin was very clean, spacious and well-stocked. We were provided with plenty of towels, toiletries, places to store our luggage, hooks for backpacks/other and all the kitchen essentials. We would happily stay here again — a wonderful, peaceful getaway!"
