"The room felt tired and worn. I was told I was upgraded to a city view which was actually just a side road and the back of some buildings. The hotel is lacking in a bar or any sort of atmosphere. Their sister properly a few doors down seems to have these facilities, but not having them in the same building isn’t great. I wouldn’t stay again as I think there are much better options in Edinburgh. All in all, this felt like a slightly elevated Premier Inn."

"Very central location. Helpful friendly staff. Rooms are very clean. None of the bathtub or sink drains work very well but it’s a minor inconvenience, we just removed the plug/cover thing entirely. Didn’t seem to be any functional fans for the bathrooms so nothing will dry but you can swap the towels any time. Overall decent hotel and I would stay again. Prices are pretty high even in off-season but that seems to be universal for Edinburgh/UK."

"We enjoyed our 2 night stay, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Considering the location in the city, we thought the rooms were quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed using the pool, sauna and steam room and would likely return again."
