Very Good

This is a great place to stay for a night or extended time in Milledgeville! The Soho Lofts are conveniently located in the heart of the college strip, so there is noise and activity, but we thought that added to the charm. I slept through all of it! It is a very short walk to many food options (Aubri Lanes across the street is wonderful!). Each loft has its own unique design; we stayed in the Kenya on the corner. The unit was well decorated, upscale and well maintained. There is a fully stocked kitchen, and the linens are top notch. The attention to detail is comparable to any fine hotel. You check in at the Antebellum Inn (their sister property) a few blocks away to pick up your key - McKenna is very helpful and only a call away should you need anything. Since our daughter recently started at the local college, we've also stayed at the Antebellum (also recommended) and the Hampton Inn (not recommended AT ALL - although we are loyal Hilton members). Upscale choices are rare in this small college town, so if The Soho or The Antebellum Inn is available when you visit - it is an easy choice!

Great location, very rustic and different. We stayed in the Savannah, there are no windows. So it's quiet, but a little odd to not have any natural light. Small, but had all you need. Had a good time staying with my daughter for a sorority mother/daughter day.
Awesome place to stay in downtown Milledgeville!!!
We had an amazing time staying in Milledgeville at Soho Lofts. Beautiful room, very clean, extremely comfortable and great location. Highly recommend!!!
Easy check in even after hours. Loft was small but more than adequate. Kitchen was stacked well enough for our overnight stay. Nice full size fridge. Nice toiletries in the bath. Will book again when in Milledgeville at GCSU
I have stayed there a few times. Always a great visit. Great location. Be sure to visit the beautiful Georgia College campus and take a trolley tour. Milledgeville is a wonderful Antebellum town.
Since our daughter is in her second year at GCSU, we are back and forth from Milledgeville a bit. Soho Lofts are our FAVORITE place to stay! Right down town, so cute and comfortable! Antebellum Inn, their sister property, is also very nice, but we prefer the privacy of our own living room and kitchen. There is a long flight of stairs to access the lofts, which is not a problem for us, but may be for some. Also, one of the room does not have any windows. We have never stayed in that room since we want to see what is happening, but it may reduce the outside noise. This is a gem if you are spending the night in Milly - and better than any hotel in the area!
I stayed in the New Orleans Room. The Lofts are very rustic and charming. The rooms are nicely decorated with a loft type feel and exposed brick, bringing the outdoors in. Walking distance to shops and places to eat, right outside your door. Historic charm at it's best.
The Kenya room at the Loft was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. There was no onsite dining and we were aware of that. Plenty of places to eat close by. Looking forward to visiting again!
My sister and I stayed at the Soho Lofts on a recent visit to Milledgeville. We were so impressed with the property. It's beautifully decorated and comfortable, and had all the comforts of home. The property is SO convenient to downtown and the college. We would definitely stay there again!!
We stayed in the Kenya for two nights. What a relaxing and spacious place to stay. Milledgeville was a chance encounter but we are very glad to have experienced it. The Soho Lofts was a very convenient and comfortable place to stay. We did not dine in but walked the few steps to the local restaurative highlights around the corner.
My husband brought me here for my 62nd birthday getaway, loft & location was great!

Nice stay at Soho Lofts in January
We stayed in the Savannah loft January 11th - 13th and it was just lovely. Everything was clean and very inviting. Will absolutely be returning there to stay as our son has just started college at GCSU, just a few blocks away. Also, the area is great. You can walk everywhere, and much dining and shopping available.Over and above service - we arrived later in the evening and they arranged a place for us to pick up our key conveniently.

Chic Downtown Spot
My husband and I stayed around Thanksgiving one night while passing through on our way up North. The owners did a fabulous job renovating the space while keeping great details, like the brick walls, huge windows, and what I assume are original floors. They mixed this with chic decor and finishes. The rooms are huge with plenty of spots to relax. We really enjoyed it. Bed was comfy and linens were great.
The lofts are right on one of the main streets through the historic downtown. All kinds of food, drinks, and shopping steps away. I reccommend taking some time to look at some of the homes in the historic district, they are awesome. The inn keeper was more than accommodating for us. We felt very welcomed.
There is not any onsite dining in the traditional sense, but I have walked further to hotel restaurants then I dud around the corner two 4 or 5 options!
Check it out! The Turners.

Nice Suite for Extended Stay -- if you are OK with stairs
We had an overnight in Milledgeville and wanted to stay within walking distance of GMC. Soho is downtown. We enjoyed eating at the restaurants nearby both in the evening and for breakfast. (Soho does not have food service.) The unit could have been a little cleaner. Glass top on the coffee table needs to be replaced. It has jagged edges. Overall, we were very pleased with the rooms. There is a long flight of stairs to get to the second floor. We had no problem. Some folks might.

Great place and rooms!
Outstanding feel of room - loved it - comfortable, chic, nicely decorated simply a great space!
My wife & I broke up our trip from southeast Georgia to Atlanta with an afternoon and overnight stay at the Soho Lofts. It proved to be a great choice. Convenient, very comfortable and the perfect combination of quaint & modern. A nice variety of restaurants and shops located in a two block radius.
Very helpful staff and a very interesting loft concept. The only problem is access via 20 Plus stairs you climb through a very narrow street level door. The check in is done another inn. Nothing is easy with the access. Once that is done and the suitcase is dragged upstairs the fun begins. The kitchen is large with all the tools provided for cooking and serving.

A One Night Stand
My wife and I, escaping Irma, spent one Friday night in the Kenya Soho Loft. The loft itself is nice enough. Bed was comfy, place was clean. However, there are a number of things a prospective customer should be aware of. Parking is on-street parking, if you can find a parking place. Otherwise, a municipal parking lot. This means you have to carry your bags up to a block just to get to the door. Then you have to climb a long, rickety staircase to a small, cramped landing and open another door to access the hallway to the loft rooms.
Also, the lofts are located right downtown on a corner. Loud music, lot of noisy students hanging on the corner until 2:00 AM. I suggest a white noise machine if planning to stay there on a weekend.
I was told by the staff that they would make dinner reservations for us at a restaurant across from the lofts. But, when we got there, none had been made. So, I would suggest following up on that sort of thing to insure it is done or do it yourself.
Overall, a mediocre experience for us. We tend to stay in B&Bs when we travel, so we have some experience/expectations. BTW, there is no food service with the Lofts either.
Great Place...good river park and access nearby ...great dining option...we did pick the only room with a window but liked it but next time we will pick a window room Godo value nice walk to dinign options...would stay here again

African theme in the middle of Georgia, USA
This was a delightful place, but I did have one complaint. The air conditioning was really not quite up to par for the middle of a Georgian summer. Also - and this was beyond the control of management - its downtown location, while convenient to some nice restaurants in town, made it subject to a noisy college crowd who like to gather quite close to the place during early morning hours. But all in all, we did enjoy our stay.
