"Perfect weather for a getaway! Great location to get to get around. Cottage was perfect for us. Fire pit was great to hang out at. Went kayaking across the street. Beautiful lake. However, the access to the lake was a wee bit steep but we are in shape to handle it. All in all it was a great time!"

Giant great room off the back and out to an expansive green which is NOT fenced enough to let your pet run loose, which they say in write up (our dog loved the great room to play in). A few things: If the weather is inclement, the firewood on the property along the fence will be wet. We arrived in rain and had sun the next two days but wood was wet, and could not locate any bagged firewood in Rhinebeck, so could not...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this wonderful little home. It was pleasantly quiet and secluded, but was just minutes away from some wonderful restaurants and just a short walk to the lake. "we had a wonderful time! the cottage was very comfortable and really well-appointed. We made the most of the fireplace and our two dogs loved the access to the field and woods nearby. Susanne, the host, gave us great directions and was super friendly and helpful and we really appreciated the scones,chocolate and fresh local eggs left for us. We made the most of the easy access to the Rhinebeck restaurtants and hikes in the area and would love to come back! Thank you"

The cottage was designed so well that even though it's small there was plenty of room for the two of us. "We needed a central location for my daughter’s bridal shower. We could not have imagined a better place. It is beautiful and so natural. Glen was helpful and welcoming. He even came over to sweep off the expansive patio before our guests arrived and this was after he made sure everyone was awake. The house was well supplied with kitchen and dining items. "The backyard was really cool! Great features. Beautiful, peaceful, and private. We did not see or hear anyone else on the property during our stay. The apartment was very nice.
