Hawks View was fabulous! Each family group hadvtheircown area of the house. Liked the factcthere was a full bath for each bedroom. Common area and deck was large enough to accommodate all of us. The house was very clean and well stocked. It was conveniently located. Amenities at the resort made it possible to also do family activities without traveling into nearby towns. Great experience to celebrate my birthday!
Great golf course house with plenty of amenities. Enjoyed the hiking trail to waterfall and pickle ball courts. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and beds were comfortable with nice linens.
The home felt too warm at times and we wish we had control of adjusting the thermostat. Also, some bathroom doors didn't have functioning locks. Couple bathroom were missing shower mats and hand towels.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend this property.
We had a wonderful stay at Hawk's View. The house is very well appointed with everything a large group would need. Every bedroom having a bathroom was ideal for a professional offsite session. The lower level and the main level each have plenty of seating for group conversations. The community is serene with lovely views. The only downside is that you are a 25-30 minute drive to grocery store or restaurants. We had a catered dinner delivered to the house one night and drove to Lake Lure for dinner on our second night. Other than that, I would highly recommend Hawk's View for your next large family, friends, or corporate gathering.
Plenty of space. Felt that could have been a little cleaner given the high-end nature of the home and community. There was some things that should have been addressed prior to the rental: ie. 1. the hole in the deck, 2. the broken pest control box on the deck emitting a constant high pitch, 3. paint over rain intrusion locations. Would have been great to have a few other games such as foosball, etc to augment the pool table. Must be comfortable with a more remote vacation. The community is pretty but there is nothing close by in terms of restaurants, sites, etc..
Great golf trip home for a friend/family group outing. Space is abundant and amenities provide ample opportunity to keep the group involved throughout the visit. Bright's Creek Golf Course teammates were first-class and overly accommodating.
Beautiful neighborhood on the golf course. Loved that we had access to the club restaurant with bowling alley!! We had a large group and the house had plenty of room and everything we needed. It was quite expensive, but splitting amongst a few families made it more doable.
We had a great visit. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. House had plenty of room for our family reunion of ages 1- 85! We used the pickle ball courts. Next time we will use the bowling ally! We’ve decided we will make this our yearly house.
The property was beautiful and as advertised. Because we had a large group, my only feedback would be to consider a traditional coffee maker instead of a single cup Keurig. Not a deal breaker, though, as we are looking at dates for our next trip!
House was excellent for a large family. Only thing I saw that needed attention was that quite a few high hat ceiling lights did not work. I probably notice because I'm a retired home builder.
I enjoyed my stay and Boyd was very responsive. I felt as though I had to chase down the property management for answers that should have been readily available.
We did a Business Leadership Retreat with 8 adults and everyone had their own bedroom and bath. The size of the house allowed us to spread out with different conversations/discussions as needed but comfortable enough to keep us all hanging out together.
Great house for multiple purposes.
We had three generations and had plenty of space for everyone. Amenities at Brights Creek are very nice but you do have to drive 25 minutes for more to get to stores or activities outside the community.
We loved the house. We were celebrating our mom who had passed away in February at 92. We wanted to gather family from around the southeast and this home worked very well. It had a big kitchen and family room, and 3 levels so we could spread out if we wanted to. Every bedroom having its own bathroom was a huge plus. Several of us also paid the $10 resort fee so we could go to the pool and it was beautiful! Everyone was very impressed with the home. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay in your beautiful home. Thank you. The setting is incredible. The home is very well made and had everything we could want! Very comfortable for a large group but also had private places to go hide! A few things would have made the stay even more enjoyable. A number of the shower heads are too aggressive - even painful. Could use more linens. There was one ball missing from the pool table. Other than that, we truly had an amazing time.
This huge home worked well for our Corporate meeting. We had 17 people during the day for all-day meetings and it was comfortable and spacious. Our only complaints were the lack of hot water in the bathrooms in 3 of the bedrooms: 2 on top floor and 1 on lowest level. We don't consider hot water a luxury. And despite host giving us a GPS location, most of our group using GPS were directed down a dead-end road where the GPS then failed. That was frustrating driving between our 2 houses. Host was very responsive. Location was quiet and beautiful. Private bath for each overnight guest was a plus. Seeing deer on the road at night was a plus.
13 members (3 generations) of our family all met up at this amazing house to celebrate mom's 80th birthday, and it was a perfect setting. The house is extremely well laid out to allow for those that preferred to stay up late not bother those that wanted to sleep early. 4 chefs in the family made great use of the kitchen, which is well stocked with equipment and had a little pantry for things like seasonings and tea, a great surprise.
The house is so quiet and secluded, it made for wonderful times sitting on the decks talking or reading - and our two little Silky Terrier pups loved the area.
It is fairly removed from things off property, which for us was exactly what we wanted, but it's something to be aware of - as is the fact that there is no cell service nearby (the wifi worked perfectly for calls though!) - just be aware so that you get your GPS working while you still have signal. =)
We loved our time here, and would easily rebook this property for a future family reunion!
The place serves well for a group of 15-20 very comfortably. we had a group of 12 golfers who stayed 2 nights. We all had a blast. The property manager is very proactive. When we checked in there were only one towel set in sole bathrooms. When I mentioned to the manager, he immediately sent someone with 4 sets of towels.
The dishwasher did not work but we mutually agreed that we will rinse and neatly arrange the dishes by he sink. It was a minor issue.
There are poker games tables with chips, there is a billiard table. Basically, there is lots of room for entertainment. We were busy with golf and did not care much about the TV and Stereos. Nice patio on the main and basement floor. The only negative thing is it is in the middle of nowhere. The nearest gas station or grocery store may be 15 minutes away.
This place was absolutely marvelous. We really enjoyed the wkd & the entire house. The golf community needs to add house numbers and directional signs. We got lost 5 times. Everything else was perfect.
We had an international group and truly enjoyed this property. It was everything we thought it would be. However ONE SUGGESTION, please put a street number on this house. We had a hard time finding it.
