"I would not rate this property 4 stars. The ‘all inclusive’ was very limited. The dining area is very small with only a few choices at meal times. The walk to the beach was unpleasant. The hotel is on a noisy main road. I think the pictures are not a realistic reflection of how the hotel looks"

Nice place that's very close to the water

"We stayed here for about 4 nights and everything went well. There are two sections of the palace...one where the hotel reception is connected to and the other is a stand along building across the street. We've read online that one of the sections was the "newer" renovated one and I think that was the section with the hotel reception. We stayed in other section across the street and it was fine. It doesn't look so outdated that you can tell/feel it's vastly different. Every night, there is some type of special music or performance by the pool. That was a nice touch and appreciated. Everyone is very friendly as well. We opted for the daily parking of 8 euros and that came in pretty handy. There can be street parking but it is limited and you will have to drive around the side streets for one. "

"Food was really amazing in the buffet, you never tired of the variety and quality. Pool and the beach service was great, overall friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. Everything in the hotel is very clean and well maintained and the room quality was 1st rate. One minor issue in the maisonette is the very small wardrobe in the upstairs bedroom a small set of drawers would help. Top hotel."

A special place, a mini-oasis

"Everything about this villa was perfect. Location not far from the beaches and Rethymno, but remote in the hills, peaceful and idyllic. Vagilis and Pavlos were wonderful hosts, super-attentive and friendly, always responsive to any requests. The villa itself was quite unique stone house, which we loved, especially the outside space which was well designed with different areas and seemed like a mini oasis surrounded by palm trees and cacti, secluded and relaxing. Lovely views of the surrounding hills. And if you like cats, in the courtyard outside the villa, you will love it here!"
