A spacious sunny villa with private pool for your exclusive use. ideal for mixed age groups and family . 4 double bedrooms all with air conditioning and own bathrooms

FREE POOL HEATING : From September - June we heat the pool free of charge making it possible to have early morning dips or a late night swim if you so wish.
For those not wanting to hire a car there is a bus stop at the end of the road thay takes you up into the village where there is an abundance of bars and good restaurants or down into Fuengitola with gorgeous sandy beaches and every type of restaurant and bar you can think of.
We are on the doorstep of the world famous Valparaiso restaurant which sadly is closed at the moment but we are hoping this will and more wonderful fun filled evenings will be had. reopen

The living room,kitchen terrace pool and bar benefit from being all on one level making it easier to keep and eye on little ones and so there are no terraces or steps to climb to the pool etc. there is a further double bedroom with ensuite here which would suit those with a little restricted mobility
The garden and pool are private and not over looked and there is a gate to pool for child safety.
All bedrooms are double rooms with air conditioning and own bathroom . The upper bedrooms all have doors leading to a terrace overlooking the garden and pool again this is not over looked and an ideal place to have breakfast or evening drinks .
From the roof terrace there are lovely views and seating to watch the wonderful sun sets and observe the wonderful clear skies at night and listen to our owls chatting to each other as the sun starts to go down .
In the mature garden there are various tropical shrubs and plants which amazingly release their perfume at night .
The bar and BBQ are the ideal entertainment hub with lighting and an additional fridge there is also an additional gas BBQ for those who prefer this method of cooking or to cater for large groups.

There are ample sun loungers and chairs along with separate towels for pool use.

Car not essential as there is a bus stop nearby also an excellent (reasonable and regulated taxi service)

The villa has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay for a wide range of ages with plenty of space, lovely facilities, well equipped and ideally located. The host and manager are very warm, welcoming, extremely helpful and quick to respond.

Dealing with Anabel was a pleasure, very prompt with answering questions. The property itself was perfect for 4 fat old golfers. 4 seperate rooms with 4 bathrooms. Lovely outdoor seating area and a great pool. Only slight negative was that theres only really one restaurant within walking distançe, but mijas or fuengirola only a few minutes cab ride away. Overall a great stay, and will use it again in the future.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Villa Carlito Santa Monica, with our friends, 2 other couples. The villa is really well equipped and very peaceful. The pool is heated and well kept. There is a very good local bus service to Mihas Pueblo and Fungirola and the taxi's are easy to book. Sally the property manager is lovely and really helpful with recommendations and after a couple of days we found ourselves right at home. It was just what we needed, some peace and quiet and sunshine which there was plenty of!

It was the second time we rented the villa – and we hope to return. Everything in the villa is in perfect condition. The heated pool is perfect in January! Some distance to Mijas/beach, but we didn’t bother to rent a car since Uber/Bolt is so easy to use.

We had a fantastic week at the Villa in Mijas. It was lovely and clean, perfect in every way. Anabel & Daisy were really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend for a large family, the children were happy in the pool all day! Would definitely book again.

Nice villa in a nice quiet location. Good communication and easy check in process with the owner! We had a car and I would advise having one unless you want to stay in the villa for the whole time. Everything is within 3/4 miles of the area but we found it so easy with a car! Would recommend this villa to anyone especially families

We really loved the stay. The property itself is brilliant. Just what we were looking for. The pool was good for the kids as it was heated but also well shaded in October so not worried about them burning. Annabel and Sally were great hosts and answered questions quickly, even in these odd covid times. Fuengirola is a great little town with many good restaurants.

This property is perfect for families. We had an amazing week. We had 3 children under 5 so we were out during the day but cooked in the evening. The heated pool was an absolute essential. We loved the garden area and the fact that there is a gate so children were safe. The area is lovely. Mijas is such a pretty village with incredible views. We would definitely return.

We have been as a family and the house is spacious and comfortable, it has everything we need and the pool, which Anabel very kindly heated for us, is excellent, we were very comfortable, to say the least, it would need to renew the sun loungers and improve some aspects of the garden, but The truth is that it's great. We (3 generations) have had a fantastic holiday in this Villa. Inside it has everything you need and the outside area is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the heated pool. The kids absolutely loved the warm pool. And Sally’s ice cream 🍡 We got a warm welcome by Sally and she had provided cool white wine for the adults and ice cream for the children. Thank you again Sally, for your way to make us feel very welcome. The bus down to Fuengirola and Mijas is just a few minutes walk from the house. We definitely come back to this house ☺️

My girlfriends and I thorghly enjoyed our stay here. The villa is spacious with a well equiped kitchen and great outdoor space. We really enjoyed using the great pool and making use of the many sun loungers, and long lazy meals on the shaded terrace. If you are after a super slick modern villa this is not the property for you. But if you want a more homely feel with a secluded outdoor area and fabulous pool, this is highly recommended. Both Sally ( property manager) and Annabel ( owner) are friendly, helpful and accommodating.

The photos on the website do not do this villa justice. It is very well equipped and very well maintained. We stayed for 4 days, a family of 6 adults and had more than enough space. Plenty of outside seating. Choice of gas or charcoal BBQs. Clean pool with resident inflatables. A separate bathroom for each bedroom. Fast WiFi and UK TV. Plenty of games and books available. Our every need was catered for. I can totally recommend.

Greatly enjoyed out stay at Villa Carlito. The owners were fantastic both prior to our stay (in helping us book the Villa) and during the stay in answering by email any questions we had. Also their property manager Steve, who lives close by was helpful with a number of questions we had. Would highly recommend the Villa to couples and families who want to be close to Mijas Pueblo (can take a bus or drive (as we did . . . About 2 minutes and park at the $1 Euro lot right outside the town square)). Convenient to a lot of attractions and sites on the Costa del Sul with the owners giving us great suggestions as to what to visit and where to eat. You will not be disappointed in staying at Villa Carlito. Thanks Annabel and David Butch & Judy

Everything from start to end was excellent. Anabel and Sally are both lovely ladies who responded on queries very promptly and we had a very warm and welcoming from Sally who kindly showed around villa. Villa is exactly how it is in description. We have had a lovely stay and warm pool was nice treat after every day hiking and walks. Very spacious and homely overall. Felt like own home. Perfect for families with children as pool segregated with gate. Would definitely come back again. P.S. Thank you Sally for welcome vinos - nice and thoughtful touch :) 5 plus stars for all!!!

Just back from my stay in Mijas at the villa and we had an amazing time. The villa is lovely and spacious and has absolutely everything. It's also very secure and very private. Mijas is a beautiful location and there is so much to do closeby. We had a car but my brother didn't so his family used the bus which was so easy and cheap to get around (even with a 2 year old!). Annabel and Steve were amazing and made my first family holiday with my 5 month old so easy, they couldn't have been more helpful. Steve was on hand for an issues (just us not being able to work stuff, no actual problems!) and was always round to help within literally 5 mins- he was amazing! Highly recommend this!

We had a fabulous holiday @ the villa. Everything was fantastic from start to finish.. Annabel was an amazing host so helpful reassuring & informative.. She actually went over & above allowing us an early check in & a late check out which was great for the kids having extra time in the pool. Thank you so much from them too Annabel😘. We booked this villa as it had nearly only 5 star ratings , and it had the facilities we were looking for .Communication with the manager was initially fine . We had agreed on a late arrival , and we showed up exactly on time .Then the show began : The housekeeper arrived by car , and as health professionals , we know a drunk person when we see them . She was not just tipsy !The house was freexing cold , and she only turned the heaters on when we arrived .We found black hairs in one of the beds, and initially she just brushed it away - and didnt change the sheets until we told her to do so .Breadcrumbs on the kitchen table , Microwave owen was dirty , the owen could only heat on grill, and the lid couldnt close properly .Dishwasher was out of salt , and the lid couldnt close unless you lifted the top.Coffeemachine had not been cleaned . Chairs around the kitchen bar was broken , and the kitchen window couldnt close .No aircon in the living room and the provided heaters could not provide sufficient heating .In one of the bedrooms the aircon was disconnected ( cable simply cut ) and the adjacent bathroom had no outlets !Pool was heated as promised , but after a rainfall the electricity disappeared and the heating pump stopped. We couldnt get it started again .Tiles around the pool are partly broken and filled with green algae , and hence very slippery when wet .When we called the property manager , she threatened that we would be thrown out by the police !!!

The villa is in a great location with a private, non looked over pool and garden. Unfortunately it's very tired and needs some maintenance to bring it up to the standard I'm sure it once was. It's liveable and realitavly comfortable but let down by lack of up keep. I won't go into specifics as I don't want to list what could be concieved as minor cosmetics but the villa needs some attention soon to make it more pleasurable to stay there. That aside we had a good week and didn't let the slightly run down feel of the place to affect our holiday. Communication was great and arrival and departure was very smooth. The villa is perfect for 10 people so we didn't feel on top of each other (although previous stays in villas of that size had much more fridge and freezer space) This would definitely be a five-star property if up keep was maintained, maybe the price reflects the condition of the villa, I'm not sure as I've not looked into that.

Me and 7 friends stayed at this lovely villa for 5 nights. It was perfect for the size of our party. The bedrooms were all nice, the bathrooms were all good, 2 were more modern. The kitchen was great it had everything we needed, the fridge isnt massive but there was one to use under the outside bar which came in handy. The outside area was the best thing about this villa and that is where we spent most of our time. Adequate sunbeds and parasols, the seating area was lovely. The pool was lovely although im not sure it was heated but luckily the weather was very hot so a nice cool pool was what we needed. We didnt hire a car but would be ideal to get around, although the cabs and bus service was good to get to Mijas Pueblo and other areas. Mijas Pueblo is beautiful. There are no shops within walking distance so transport is needed. There is a bar within 5mins walking distance. All in all we had a fantastic time at the villa, would recommend. Annabelle and Sally are both very helpful. My only negative was that i think the outside area needed a good sweeping up before we arrived. Thanks for letting us stay

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in this villa Sally the host greeted us on arrival and was always on hand if you needed help or advice which is very reassuring.The villa itself is like a second home spacious with all the amenities you could need .The basics were all provided wash powder, dish washer tablets, washing up liquid and the store cupboard had seasonings,oils ,tea ,coffee, sugar, milk as well as complementary wine and Sangria which we thoroughly enjoyed .however we did all struggle with the controls on the microwave, hob and oven which were a little temperamental and hard to control but the gas bbq was an excellent bonus. We hired cars from the airport as we intended to do a little sightseeing which would have been very time consuming if we had used public transport and my son’s family needed the freedom to go to the beach but there is a regular half hourly bus service to Mijas 200 meters away and Fuengirola we used both of these in our second week. Walking to Mijas or the shops was not an option it was far too hot not to mention being uphill! The closest supermarkets are Aldi and lidls on the outskirts of Fuengirola a short 5/10 minute drive away and similarly Mijas in the other direction is packed with cafes and restaurants to eat in and dozens of small shops . Park in the multi story it’s either free or very cheap depending upon the day / time and saves driving round searching for parking . The pool outside is a great size with lots of seating options
