On the ground floor after entry to the house there is fully-equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, modern hob and oven. It has all the utensils and crockery to ensure that any large family can enjoy staying in and entertaining at home. The ground floor also has a comfortable lounge and dining area, with enough seating to accommodate the whole party, as well as a large flat-screen smart TV, which accesses the internet through the house’s fast Wi-Fi router, and a DVD player. There is also a WC on the ground floor.

On the first floor, you will find 3 double bedrooms. One of the rooms has 2 single beds, whereas the others have large double beds. The master bedroom itself has an en suite bathroom with a powerful shower. There is also a separate large bathroom which is accessible from the other 2 bedrooms. All the bedrooms have built in wardrobes, thereby maximizing space for the guests.

The fourth guest-bedroom is in the coolest part of the house, downstairs from the ground floor, thereby not needing the air-conditioning that is fully available throughout the rest of the house. With an en suite bathroom, this bedroom has the most powerful shower in the house, thanks to its gravity feed.

Access to the double-garage is also downstairs under the house, in the cool. This ensures that when having to get into the car to travel somewhere, it is not boiling hot, not having been parked outside in the warm Andalusian sun, which is something that not many other houses can give.

At the top of the house there is a large solarium, which not only affords great views of the urbanisation and surrounding areas but also ensures the ability to suntan for a full day in complete privacy.

Returning to the ground floor, there is a large patio and barbecue area, where most guests have their meals around the large family-sized table under the sun. A few steps from the garden gate there is a swimming pool, set within a large garden and grassed area. This enables families to utilize the pool from the comfort of the house, or take one of one of the 6 sunbeds that are part of house’s property and lay down within the gardens next to the pool. Being a small urbanisation, the pool area actually feels more like one that is private.

The house is conveniently located near to many amenities. There is a large supermarket, just 5 minutes’ walk away. Another 5 minutes’ away there is a restaurant and shopping complex area, El Zoco, which offers many types of cuisine including Spanish, Argentinian Steak House, Chinese, French, Italian, and even the best fish and chips on the coast! And yet just another 5 minutes away is the beach area, which has a recently built coastal broadwalk, allowing great walks up and down the coastline.

Whilst a car would open up areas further afield for more exploration, with Gibraltar only being about 1-hour’s drive away, the local transport links are very conveniently situated and allow regular quick journeys to Marbella, Fuengirola and Malaga.

Having moved into the house 12 years ago, which was brand new at that time, I loved living in the area and have many fond memories. Obviously the continuing shining sun of the Costa Del Sol helps to always bring a smile to the face. But the location of the house, the convenience of the shops, restaurants, bars and beach, as well as quick access to the larger towns of the area, all add to its appeal. Finally, the urbanisation is such a small and friendly place, that it really is home from home. My friend, Attila, lives on the urbanisation itself, just 3 doors down and he looks after the guests from arrival to departure. In this way, any guest has 100% support, if needed, during their stay.

Great house in a great location

Michael and Attila are both brilliant and can’t do enough for you - really fast and effective communication before and during the stay. The facilities in the house are great, brilliant pool outside the back gate, lots of space for youngsters to do their own thing and good bars and restaurants very close with a short walk, as is the beach. Air con very good too. Really good base to go along the coast in either direction to explore and have fun. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Winter holiday

Michael’s home is beautiful, very well equipped and spotless. Attila who cares for the house was so welcoming and helpful, he couldn’t do enough for us. From the day we booked our stay to the day we left, Michael kept contact. The area is fabulous with all amenities within walking distance. Supermarket 5 mins walk, bars, restaurants 10 min walk. Beach is 15 min walk and the boardwalk is amazing. We had our car as we drove to Spain, I must say you don’t need a car, transport is very reasonable and runs to Malaga & Marbella every 30 minutes. We rarely used our car. There is underground parking our car more or less stayed there. There’s plenty of parking outside on the street too. All in all this is a perfect location in well kept area. Gardens and swimming pool maintained to perfection. Ideal for families and couples.

7 Wochen in Calahonda

Wir haben unsere 7 Wochen in Calahonda genossen. Das Haus war wie daheim da es alles hatte was uns wichtig war! Die Nachmittage in der Sonne auf der Terrasse waren einfach toll. Wir haben auch die Umgebung und den Strand genossen. Unser Hund konnte am Strand rumlaufen und im Meer schwimmen. Mehrere Restaurants und Pubs/Cafés sind 500 m entfernt. Michael und Attila sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hoffen nächstes Jahr wieder in Calahonda Urlaub machen zu dürfen!! Einzige Bemerkung - die obere Terrasse könnte besser abgesichert sein, besonders wenn man kleine Kinder dabei hat. Alles in Allem haben wir einen herrlichen Urlaub verbracht!

Perfect holiday home, it has everything you could

From initial contact Michael was incredibly helpful, and the house is fabulous and has everything you could need... just like all the other reviews state. Before arrival Michael supplied us with lots of information we requested, like how far the nearest playground was for our 3 year old (not far just by El Caprico on the beach) and checked in to see if we needed anything else. The house was stunning, the terrace/patio area is actually much bigger than photos suggest, supermarket 3 minute walk and then a few more minutes to restaurants and shops and a few more to the beach. 5 minute drive to La Cala, or you can walk all along the wooden beach paths (great for pushchairs). 15 min drive each way to Marbella and Fuengirola and less than half an hour to the airport, the location is really perfect. The house has everything, lots of toys and floats for children for the pool, stairgates and travel cot and highchair, lots of sun loungers too. We stayed for a month and had lots of different family members come and stay for a week and it worked perfectly. There were 7 of us at the end and it still felt spacious. Attila was really helpful throughout as well, we would definitely recommend this to anyone. Thank you for a great holiday!

Fantastic place to stay!

I would not have any problem recommending this property. From the minute we booked it communication with Michael was brilliant. Any questions were answered and and help needed was offered. The house is amazing, clean and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is brilliantly located to access the supermarket, places to eat and the beach. A spacious and beautiful house and domicile, an ideal starting point for activities of all kinds.

Michael the landlord is always in the effort to make sure that the stay is a success and no questions remain open before arrival. The house is comfortably furnished and leaves nothing to be desired. From sun loungers and beach towels to hair dryer and grill everything is available in the house and in good condition. Within walking distance are shopping and restaurants.The house is well maintained and very clean, all in all: perfect! We had a great time, thanks to Michael and Attila!

Delightful house in brilliant setting

No reservations about recommending this excellent property. We stayed for a month and were delighted to discover this well equipped and maintained house met all our requirements , even when family members(2 to 70) joined us. Michael provided excellent directions and information beforehand , Attila was on hand to meet us and provide help throughout our stay without being intrusive. 4 good sized bedrooms with huge wardrobes, lovely bathrooms , a good, equipped kitchen and both terraces were much appreciated as was the attention to detail.( Beach towels for everyone, coffee makers, proper kettle, electric orange juice squeezer etc). Quiet gated, well cared for location yet 2 mins from large supermarket, friendly pharmacy, newsagent and cash machine. Easy walk to restaurants, more shops, Calypso market on Thursday and Sunday, bus to Marbella or Fuengirola, Boardwalk and beach. Easy drive on toll road to airport and other destinations. On street parking as well as underground garage. We used the bus, train from Fuengirola to Malaga and walked regularly and could easily have done without a car. El Zoco is a maze of restaurants within easy walking distance for dinner. We tried several different cuisines at varying prices . We often enjoyed a pre lunch amble along the boardwalk and ate at La Luna or one of several at the lovely port at Cabo Pino. Thank you, Michael , we had a wonderful winter break.

fantastic family holiday

Property was just like the description, everything home from home, it was very spacious and well presented. The house is close to the local amenities such as supermarkets, bars, restaurants, hairdressers, cafes. Pool area was used every day by all of us. The local restaurants were great, the waiters were very friendly and helpful. The local buses were cheap and every half hour, Fuengirola was about 20min 1 way and Marbella about 30min the other way. Lots of really nice beaches within easy reach. There was 3 adults and 3 teenagers in our family. Michael was so helpful and his knowledge of Calahonda was great.

Lovely Town House in a quiet tranquil location

We were a group of 7 and it was easily big enough for us all. Attila met us at the location and did a full walk around and also made suggestions as where to eat and the beaches to go to. He was also very friendly and helpful and was always on hand to answer any questions. The kitchen is fully serviceable, with all the amenities you need for preparing a meal. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and sufficient hot water for all of us. The pool was perfect being just outside the back gate and the grandchildren made full use of this facility all day long. The location is good with a supermarket and restaurants within walking distance, 5 minutes drive to the beach at Cabopina as well as restaurants by the port, 15 mins to Mijas, and about 20 mins to Fuengirola. Yes, we would recommend friends and relatives to this property.
